In discussing the scandal engulfing former House speaker Dennis Hastert, who is due in court this week, one thing must be made absolutely clear. What he is alleged to have done to young boys has absolutely nothing to do with being gay or gay rights.

Almost immediately after the news broke of Hastert’s indictment, folks looked to Congress for signs of hypocrisy. Former representative Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who is gay, made an assertion during an appearance on Huffington Post Live last Monday that was flat-out inappropriate.
“Dennis Hastert twice as speaker tried to get the house to pass a constitutional amendment that would have banned same-sex marriage [and], in fact, retroactively would have canceled marriages that happened in Massachusetts,” he said. “So when someone who himself has engaged in same-sex activity then uses his position of great power to try to penalize other people who are doing that, that’s the kind of hypocrisy that should be penalized.”

After Lawrence v. Texas, ‘age of consent’ was lowered below 18 (some states that permitted same sex sodomy still limited it to those over 18).
And ‘romeo & juliet’ exceptions to age of consent laws also permit ‘romeo & romeo’ exceptions when one is under age of consent and one is over 18.
So much for the lie that it was all about CONSENTING ADULTS IN PRIVATE. Heck, it’s being taught to primary school students with a push to instruct even younger children in the “happy lifestyle” of same sex marriage and sex change decisions.

The author talks about gay gay gay and says that gay isn’t even a part of the equation in this story.
Yet he doesn’t ever bring into the discussion (A) how many homosexuals says their first experience was with an older (ADULT) partner and (B) how many teachers (of all sexual persuasion) are being uncovered every week diddling the students.
