At a moment when many on the left are desperately trying to conjure up enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton’s bid to become the first woman president, others on the left want to turn the word “woman” into a term of exclusion and oppression.
This is just one of the more amusing ironies on display as what passes for liberalism today eats itself.
No doubt you’ve heard: Bruce Jenner has become Caitlyn Jenner. I can’t muster much outrage about this. If someone born a man wants to live as a woman, or vice versa, they are free to do so as far as I’m concerned. What does bother me is the way everyone is expected to celebrate Jenner’s decision and courage. Why can’t I just not care? Or, maybe I just don’t want to be part of a massive public-relations effort tied to the rollout of yet another reality show?
While conservatives had their own list of complaints about this national celebration, the more intriguing ones came from the left. For instance, many people criticized the Vanity Fair cover of Jenner as a pinup. “One step forward for Caitlyn Jenner, one step back for womankind,” Eric Sasson complained in The New Republic. “As a media sensation, Jenner had many choices for how to reveal herself to us, so the fact that she chose a way that only reinforces how much our society objectifies women is a bit distressing,” he explained. If men are to be free to become women, surely they get to decide what kind of women they want to be. The first word in Vanity Fair is, after all, “vanity.” The Sports Illustrated swimsuit models seem very happy to be paid lots of money to be objectified by the male gaze. Who am I to judge?

It seems like he wants to be a “glamorous” reality show performer, instead of strange-faced prop for the others.
As usual liberals jump head first into these sexual things having no idea how it will all turn out. And these things usually turn out very badly. The Law Of Unintended Consequences will bite them in their a..es eventually.

Personal life
Jenner is a professed Christian, leans politically conservative, and is a Republican.
Why aren’t liberals ripping him apart?
Craziness.
Liberals find reality to be oppressive.
There are no limits to liberal lunacy.
It must be required in law that there be no difference in dress between females and males and that there be no differences apparent to a viewer. 50% of men must wear false breasts under their clothes and 50% of women must have their breasts bound or surgically reduced. Beards are a problem that must be solved by medical science. One non gender specific pronoun must be determined by the appropriate government agency and imposed on the speech of the entire population. Voices must be modulated to a uniform timbre.
I have the nagging suspicion that Jenner thought this out in advance in conjunction with his publicity people and has done this to revive his celebrity career and make a LOT of money. A “sex change” is a fast way to do this and at 65 he has not a hell of a lot of time make and enjoy a few hundred millions of dollars. The prospect of overnight many millions of dollars can be persuasive.
I suspect it's because they don't believe he's really any of those things ... just a nut.
The whole Christian and Republican thing is just part of the propaganda to stifle any objections to the evil gender ideology being pushed.
I thought the point of making millions in Hollywood was to enjoy cute young starlets. If he amputates body parts, there isn't going to be any enjoyment.
