This Christian is also concerned about a rising police state. Who is fighting against that? I am not queer or having an abortion. But I can’t stop the police state.

Walker just struck himself off our candidate list. No way do we want to pay to be spied. Not a chance, Walker!

If you think that Rand Paul, with his Libertarian principles, is going to fight against Gay Marriage, and fight hard against Abortion, you have not been paying attention.

Am I supposed to worry about gay marriage and abortion while I'm training my H-1B replacement?

Only if you are a Christian, otherwise, I am sure it won't bother you a bit.

It seems like they all hate this country. I got another money email from a candidate today. I wrote back that I would not vote for anyone who hates Israel, who is anti guns, for illegal immigrants, against freedom of religion, etc. I hope this one does the job of getting my name off his list. I have never seen so many nuts running for president. Oh, I also said my relatives/friends are already talking about not voting if a real conservative is not the candidate. We are tired of voting for the lesser of 2 evils. Did I say enough? : ). Guess there might be a few other things I could have said. Will save those in case there is a next time.

“Cruz voted FOR the bill—just like Walker would have.”

Actually, I don’t think that is the case. Cruz voted for the new and slightly improved - more balanced- bill. Walker is saying that he wants the bill to be the way it was.

~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~ Ted Cruz is the only true Conservative in this race.

>>I hate these weasel words used on bills/laws like this. “Patriot” and “Freedom” have nothing to do with giving the gov’t carte blanche to spy on you.

I agree. As a minimum, a Patriot Act should include:

*Open carry as the law of the land
*Rules that cover how bad you must kick a flag-burner’s butt
*Anti-Sharia provisions
*The “if you cry Islamophobia, you get a free ticket to any Muslim country and a No Return stamp on your passport” provision
*A “veterans pay 25% less taxes than non-veterans” provision.

What’s fascinating is the way none of these guys has any core beliefs. It’s all triangulation.

That's the sad truth.

Rand Paul is the ONLY one stirring things up.

Rand Paul is the only Presidential candidate who cares about the massive threat to individual liberties posed by this Federal Government. So far, he has consistently come down on the side of the individual - even if those stances chap some conservatives' hides.

But he may eventually prove to be as weak and corruptible as the rest of them. It is important never to back men, but ideals.

It has gotten to the point that they all suck.

LOL! Too true. (I think you have a possible bumper sticker phrase right there.)

The USA Freedom Act removed the ability of the NSA to gather Phone and Email records without a warrant.

It may have removed it but you can bet those traitorous basturds are still doing it.

They name such bills after the thing or things the bill is designed to destroy. It's the same way typical residential developers name their developments and the streets within them. "The Patriot Act" was designed to root out and destroy patriots. Fox Den Road, in the Meadowbrook Subdivision, is located where foxes once lived adjacent to a meadow, near a brook.

Well said, and absolutely true. I've always hated how realtors talk about "homes." They aren't selling homes, they're selling houses. The people who buy the houses MAKE homes IN them.

I’m sure that the Nuremberg laws sounded as good to the Germans in the 1930s as the Patriot and Freedom acts sound to Americans today.

I’m really tired that this 1984 doublespeak works so easily on the masses.
