I’ve read that Gov. Walker stated that he intends to participate in the Iowa Straw Poll. Did you read that? I know, he only said that- doesn’t actually mean he’ll do it. But, prayers up, I hope he’s in—

Fiorina made a good speech! The article linked from Drudge can’t be posted here, though, because it’s at a Gannett news site. Maybe there’s an article about it posted to a site that someone here can post from.

The Iowa Straw Poll is meaningless. Half the candidates are not even bothering with it.

Giuliani looked like the frontrunner around this point in 2007. Giuliani had a relatively poor showing in early debates. He passed on the Ames Straw Poll, and also passed on the Iowa Caucuses. He never recovered. Jeb is following the same pattern.
I don’t think that’s an endorsement of Iowa’s importance, but I do think a candidate has to act like he really wants it, starting from early on, and he better look good in the early debates.

"The Iowa Straw Poll is meaningless. Half the candidates are not even bothering with it."
Caucus attendees were also polled for Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Bobby Jindal, Lindsey Graham and George Pataki. Are there other candidates?

The Iowa Straw Poll is quite different from the Iowa Caucuses. Who has published polls of actual past caucus attendees?

Publications that don't allow content to be posted here (Gannett publications, Bloomberg, etc.).

And at least another one: USA Today. Can’t post content from that one, either, if I remember correctly.
