Democrats are in a suicide-murder pact with Islam.

This is a legitimate issue, and I am glad to see it brought to sc.

There is something of a paradox here.

First of all, the law *wants* to pretend that religions are equal and valid. But for many years, there have been exceptions in the law for peaceful Judaism and Christianity.

That is, there is recognition of and respect for Christian ecclesiastical courts and batte din (Jewish tribunals), both because their law was entirely voluntary, objective and mostly fair, and both subservient to and respectful of the secular law.

Islamic Sharia is not this. However, the law will not let the law say so, in effect that the law must respect all other religious law, or none at all.

We are very close to passing legislation to allow conceal carry without a license.

How do they feel about Canon law?

Thanks for the update - Mississippi just updated it's laws (goes into effect on 1 Jul) to allow concealed carry in purses/totes/fanny packs w/o license. The last update fixed an old and broken "glitch" in it's long-term Constitutional open carry laws. It used to be a farce because some judge deemed that a holster "in part or in whole" concealed the weapon which meant that you couldn't open carry unless maybe it was tied to a string around your neck. The update fixed that and now it just has to be in a holster and if carrying concealed, it no longer matters if it becomes partially visible due to some movement by you (shirt hiking up, etc.).

I may go to S. Carolina to see my son and his wife (and my granddaughter) next month and have checked the FOPA laws to ensure I transport it in my car withing "legal" bounds. The more States that start to follow the true intent of the 2nd Amendment, the better....

What is current SC law on open carry?

“Well, I guess that taught the GOP a lesson they will never forget.”

Your angst is sorely misguided Doug. Romney didn’t lose because of a few FReepers’ posts...or a few conservatives staying home election night.

He lost because of a piss-poor campaign. He and his advisors wimped out when the Democratic and kneepad media lies went flying. Obvious and pervasive voter fraud was never challenged by the GOPe. Voter intimidation by the black panthers was never challenged (maybe the BP was the reason many conservatives felt forced not to vote, ever think of that?). And FOX did not help in any meaningful way either. Remember the military ballots that never reached our shores? Funny, I don’t remember Rove or Preibus or Will or Kelly or Romney making a stink about that absolute atrocity, not to mention the slap in the face of our soldiers.

All the same goes for the McCain campaign as well.

Republicans lose presidential elections because they are losers. Period.
