"It was right after the revolution," George continued. One afternoon, Hemingway told him, "There's something you should see." The nature of the expedition was a mystery; Hemingway made a shaker of drinks, daiquiris or whatever. They got in the car with a few others and drove some way out of town. They got out, set up chairs and took out the drinks, as if they were going to watch the sunset. Soon, a truck arrived. This, explained George, was what they'd been waiting for. It came, as Hemingway knew, the same time each day. It stopped and some men with guns got out of it. In the back were a couple of dozen others who were tied up. Prisoners.
The men with guns hustled the others out of the back of the truck, and lined them up. Then they shot them. They put the bodies back into the truck. I said to George something to the effect of "Oh my God."

“All it takes for evil to triumph is that good men [and women] do nothing.”
- George Bernard Shaw
And what does this say about Hemingway?
I have been amazed (for about 45 years now), at the number of young people who wear “Che” t-shirts and have “Che” posters on their walls. I have always thought, or known, that these people haven’t even a hint of a clue who this man was. They seem to have some romantic idea of a dashing young revolutionary who was bucking the system, as they thought they were. He was in fact, a cold blooded murderer and an absolute piece of s__t.
I'm even more amazed at the older people -- like my 65-yr old sis, the social worker -- who have Che posters on their walls.
They should know better. But they don't...because they're leftists.

Wasn’t there a picture of a Obama campaign office, the first time around, with a “Che” poster on the wall?

Yeah, well, we're all older, now. :)
Strange, eh? Terrorists are now called things like freedom fighters and insurgents. Wouldn't want to call them what they are.

I made a promise to myself a few years ago.If I see some young adult with a Che shirt,I will stop them and ask if they really know who Che was and how many he murdered. If the answer is yes, they will have a real problem.
I never knew that, sounds like I’ll be having a little book burning here this week.
See You Later, Alligator by W.F. Buckley may provide some insight into Che Guevara, even though it’s a novel.
yeah, it is just a shirt they say, until we find out they promote Che’s war and view us with the US flag as traitors.
my question to Che fans is: will you execute me during a communist revolution?
