In a bizarre legal twist in a jaw-droppingly hateful proposal that calls into question the entire California ballot initiative process, the author of a bill proposing murdering California’s gays may ask a court to place his proposal on the ballot without gathering a single signature other than his own.

In a letter quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle, Matt McLaughlin writes to the state attorney general, “Take notice that if your office and the California secretary of state refuse to clear the Sodomite Suppression Act for signature circulation, I may demand as remedy that it be placed on the election ballot directly.”

California Attorney General Kamala Harris is required by law to issue a title and summary for proposed initiatives after the filer pays the $200 fee. Then, the organizer can gather the 366,000 signatures needed to place it on the ballot for a public vote.

“Kill the Gays”?
Is he Muslim?

I guess not. If he were, he’d get a pass.

“the author of a bill proposing murdering California’s gays”

I hate to be a nitpicker, but it’s not “murder” if you pass a law to authorize it.

I don’t know how she gets an extension to June 25th. The law states when the deadline is, and it’s her fault for not addressing this before now.

She’s obviously between a rock and a hard place, but she shouldn’t be able to ignore the law and then get protection from the court.

Seems like he's just using the law in the same manner the gays and muzzies do to get force their will upon us. What's fair for the fags and the rags is fair game for all, or isn't this America anymore?

Is he Muslim?

I'm betting he's militant gay, and this is a "false flag" op to manufacture victimhood.

A quibble. If it's legal then it's not murder. :)

The normal goal of liberals, to limit freedoms under the guise of ‘helping us.’ This guy’s goal was to tank the initiative process and remove it from the hands of the people and put it back in the hands of the nearly permanent liberal legislature.

That's what I said too. However, Unconstitutional laws are null and void, so even if it passed, which I doubt it would, it would still never be in effect.

I think California might be a bit shocked at how many yea votes they get on it if it is sent to the voters. :)

This is my thinking as well. The gays are always going on about being "gay". Everyone else would just like to ignore it.

False flag is correct my FRiend, gives the LGBTXYZ’s ammunition to say “ look at what these Nazi Christian Republicans want to do to us. “ Just like some black activists do when they want to rile people up, print out some racist flyers and put them on their own cars or front doors.

Suppose it gets on the ballot and passes with an 80-20 majority demonstrating that what people say aloud in public is different from what they really think?

Thought provoking... and hilarious ironic!

And for that very reason, I think it should stand.
