There were sooo many articles on how close it was projected to be...after translating out of “journo list”, I knew the conservatives must be ahead.

Even the conservatives in Great Britain are liberal.

Cameron's no prize but Milliband makes Obola look like an admirable world leader by comparison.

Good news. While the Conservative Party aren’t all that conservative, they are a lot better than Labour.

Tories are still leftists AFAIK.

There is a core of genuine conservatives still within the Tories, but, yes, a lot of the party has gone heavily centrist and even into the left.

UKIP seems the best to me.

But can't win. Not yet. If they keep building, they might eventually be a real power in national elections.

For the moment, the choice in the UK is still Conservative or Labour - both may need smaller parties to govern, but they will still dominate any coalition. And of those choices, Conservative is better.

38 seats - Labour has now lost 6 - all of them appear to be going to SNP in line with the exit polls.

Ed Miliband is not going to party tonight, that’s for sure.
