“If you haven’t heard about Operation Jade Helm 15, you need to,” says noted actor, martial artist and Internet meme Chuck Norris.
It’s a training exercise planned for this summer involving four branches of the military and seven southwest states. According to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the operation is routine (though extensive) and will have little to no impact on civilians.
But Norris, and a handful of of other conspiracy-minded critics of President Barack Obama, don’t buy it. And Norris doesn’t think you should either.
“The U.S. government says, ‘It’s just a training exercise.’ But I’m not sure the term ‘just’ has any reference to reality when the government uses it,” Norris wrote in his column for the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily Monday.
“It’s neither over-reactionary nor conspiratorial to call into question or ask for transparency about Jade Helm 15 or any other government activity,” he continued. “To those who merely think we should check our brains at the door of the White House and trust what the government does, I would reiterate to you the words of one of our government’s primary founders, Benjamin Franklin, who said, ‘Distrust and caution are the parents of security.'”

Norris isn’t the only person who is suspicious of the operation, aimed at training special forces for fighting on similar terrain overseas. Particularly in Texas, which has been labeled “hostile” territory in the simulation, the exercise has been the target of scrutiny and wild speculation. The most tempered critics worry it could affect locals’ daily lives. The more conspiratorial ones say it’s laying the groundwork for a military takeover, never mind a history of similar exercises that did not engender such scary rhetoric and did not, as it happened,

"We are assured it is a military training exercise. I have no reason to doubt those assurances, but I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don't trust what it is saying."

That’s pretty much sums it up. I agree with Cruz.
For the life of me, I do not understand a seven state exercise in the United States.
That can’t apply to overseas. It can only apply to the takeover of civilian space in a nation like the U. S.
What other nation is quite like the U. S.?
Britain, France, Germany, in fact all the nations of Europe are like one state in the U. S. So what’s this multi-state exercise practice for?
It’s practice for controlling large expanses of the United States. Why all the shuck and jive. Just explain to us that you plan to implement martial law or some equivalent and be done with it.
I for one think the only nefarious point to be had from this is the white house sending a message...we can touch you if we so choose.
I do not believe martial law is imminent. I think the whole death camp/FEMA camp thing is just shear poppy-cock.
Consider this before flaming the crap outta me. Would YOU allow your fellow citizens to be rounded up? If confiscation of weapons occurred...would YOU sit idly by and let it happen?
Barring an atomic war, what would the gubbamint use as probable cause for martial law? Would it be nationwide ML? Would it be localized such as inner cities?
Think about it. We've not had a large scale terror attack in this country since 911. What does that tell ya? The muzzies simply do not have the resources, logistics to make it happen. Besides, if a country such as Iran attempts to detonate a device in an effort to EMP the U.S., they'd be met with a devastating counter attack...and they'd never have to be worried about ever again.
Economic collapse...maybe? But Americans are very resourceful. Might take some time, but America will recover...the reset if you will. Painful? Sure, but we will recover.
Keep your powder dry. You are responsible for the protection of your loved ones. Millions of Americans are very well armed and prepared. The gubbamints not stupid.
Let them paint Cruz as a conspiracy theorist. They have no idea how many Americans have awoken to the lies. What’s the PURPOSE of this exercise? How about sending all of these troops directly to the border, THEN I’d believe we’re doing what we SHOULD be doing.
I have ZERO faith that the Agent for Iran (our president) would order a military response. ZERO. He has a history of ENCOURAGING the enemy, not fighting them. As long as he's safe in his underground nuclear-hardened bunker, I don't think he gives a rats azz whether the rest of us are protected or not.

I hope you are right. But the camps are there, obviously set up to keep people IN, not just to provide temporary refuge in emergencies. Why do you think that is?

Before I begin, I ask you please remember we are on the same side. I would stand with my fellow patriots through thick and thin. That's not bravado.
Please provide me with proof of the FEMA camps. Locations would help. I will personally drive out to them and investigate for my lil ol seff.
I've researched this for a couple of years now. I just don't see proof. I have yet to see one nor received conformation of an actual location of one of these FEMA camps. If they are there and I can pinpoint one of them, drive out and see it first hand....I will eat crow and publish my findings. If you live in my area, I'll even buy the pizza and beer to present what I find.
Seems like it might actually be a money saver. All the branches of the military have had training cuts, so why not have one in the summer with everybody working together?
My brother wants to move to Florida, if anyone has any land to sell. I want to go to Alaska or the Yukon.
What could the military possibly glean from an exercise such as this?
hands on training for new boots. High turnover rate for the probies, especially Marines.

I would rather see them training than being bored and getting into trouble. I’m surprised the animal activists aren’t up in arms because of the human imprint on natural habitats. They won’t get much training if the desert tortoises are out.

TEXAS Austin - Robert Mueller Municipal airport has detenion areas inside hangars. Bastrop - Prison and military vehicle motor pool. Eden - 1500 bed privately run federal center. Currently holds illegal aliens. Ft. Hood (Killeen) - Newly built concentration camp, with towers, barbed wire etc., just like the one featured in the movie Amerika. Mock city for NWO shock- force training. Some footage of this area was used in "Waco: A New Revelation" Reese AFB (Lubbock) - FEMA designated detention facility. Sheppard AFB - in Wichita Falls just south of Ft. Sill, OK. FEMA designated detention facility. North Dallas - near Carrolton - water treatment plant, close to interstate and railroad. Mexia - East of Waco 33mi.; WWII German facility may be renovated. Amarillo - FEMA designated detention facility Ft. Bliss (El Paso) - Extensive renovation of buildings and from what patriots have been able to see, many of these buildings that are being renovated are being surrounded by razor wire. Beaumont / Port Arthur area - hundreds of acres of federal camps already built on large-scale detention camp design, complete with the double rows of chain link fencing with razor type concertina wire on top of each row. Some (but not all) of these facilities are currently being used for low- risk state prisoners who require a minimum of supervision. Ft. Worth - Federal prison under construction on the site of Carswell AFB.
NEW MEXICO Ft. Bliss - This base actually straddles Texas state line. Just south of Alomogordo, Ft. Bliss has thousands of acres for people who refuse to go with the "New Order". Holloman AFB (Alomogordo)- Home of the German Luftwaffe in Amerika; major UN base. New facility being built on this base, according to recent visitors. Many former USAF buildings have been torn down by the busy and rapidly growing German military force located here. Fort Stanton - currently being used as a youth detention facility approximately 35 miles north of Ruidoso, New Mexico. Not a great deal of information concerning the Lordsburg location. White Sands Missile Range - Currently being used as a storage facility for United Nations vehicles and equipment. Observers have seen this material brought in on the Whitesands rail spur in Oro Grande New Mexico about thirty miles from the Texas, New Mexico Border.
OKLAHOMA Tinker AFB (OKC) - All base personnel are prohibited from going near civilian detention area, which is under constant guard. Will Rogers World Airport - FEMA's main processing center for west of the Mississippi. All personnel are kept out of the security zone. Federal prisoner transfer center located here (A pentagon-shaped building where airplanes can taxi up to). Photos have been taken and this site will try to post soon! El Reno - Renovated federal internment facility with CURRENT population of 12,000 on Route 66. McAlester - near Army Munitions Plant property - former WWII German / Italian POW camp designated for future use. Ft. Sill (Lawton) - Former WWII detention camps. More data still needed.
LOUISIANA Ft. Polk - This is a main base for UN troops & personnel, and a training center for the disarmament of America. Livingston - WWII German/Italian internment camp being renovated?; halfway between Baton Rouge and Hammond, several miles north of Interstate 12. Oakdale - Located on US route 165 about 50 miles south of Alexandria; two federal detention centers just southeast of Fort Polk.

I can tell you as a retired government weenie that the ‘government’ is not a monolithic entity. It is composed of millions (unfortunately) of mostly citizens from all political shades.
Are there plans in place for dealing with martial law? Yes. They are worrisome but any attempt to use them now would be met by resistance - from government workers.
At the very least they would leak the plans onto the internet. The Nazis do not have full control yet.
I don’t think there’s anyone here who wouldn’t be sympathetic to a training exercise that could be justified.
I don’t see any justification whatsoever for a seven state military exercise.
