Over this next weekend the city of Los Angeles, will be having more gun buybacks, for “illegal and unwanted guns.” The city handlers say it’s successful and necessary, yet there isn’t a peep about the failure of Proposition 47 in the CBS article, that has led to a major increase of violent crime and shootings in the city. It’s completely likely that gun buybacks, have no effect, being that there’s no actual deterrent to violence committed by criminals.

Still not quite sure how someone "buys back" something that was never in their possession to begin with. Anyway, I don't know how things work in Cali(pun intended) but, is there a possibility for some enterprising individuals to "buy back" these guns two blocks before the offical "buy back" location?

I’m waiting until the bounty gets up to $1000 or more. I’ve got three cheap stinkers I want to unload at a profit.

One wonders, one does, how many crimes will go unsolved now that some lowlife is able to easily rid himself of a potential piece of evidence...

One also wonders, one does, how many law-abiding Citizens who have had their personal property (firearms) stolen from them after a home burglary, who will never get them back, because some OTHER lowlife is able to easily rid himself of the evidence...

One wonders...

Very good idea. I hope someone does that.

Big City is conditioning the sheeple to this notion that yes, guns go "back" to the City, because that's where guns really belong.

Big City, Big State, and Uncle Sammy are pushing for a future where indeed they will control possession of all firearms, and you risk vanishing if you simply inquire about getting one.

I wouldn’t take my unwanted guns (if I had any), to a LE “buy-back” because A) Merely on principle and B) because I’d rather pass them on to someone who wants to be a gun owner but money’s tight. That’s if I had any such.

These affairs are clearly violating provisions of California state law regarding firearms transfers for which no exemptions were included. The LAPD and CalDoJ have been informed multiple times and no one cares. They break even more laws when they hold them in a school parking lot as they have done several times. Yet another nail in the coffin of rule of law.
