Bob is a hideous old crow. Time for him to go the way of Gunga Dan.

The bias against all things traditional American is obvious on the alphabet news channels.

Conservatives would do well to examine Senator Joni Ernst's tactics for dealing with liberal media. When the Des Moines Register demanded a sit down meeting with their editorial board, the newly elected Iowa senator recognized an ambush and courteously declined the invitation.

Looks to me like Christians have been enrolled in a hard school for showing grace under fire.

The high road here... would be to patiently explain the virtues of virtuous singlehood and dedicated monogamous heterosexual matrimony. Because the gays are not the only barbarians at the gate even if they are the worst ones.

I have immense faith that this is possible. Grace will need to be shown here. No, if the government embraces horrible foolishness, this does not knock God off His heavenly throne nor does it rob Christians of any Holy Spirit power. In fact, it may be part of the stage setting for “great exploits” (spiritually speaking) by believers. If everything were nice we might be lulled into not caring (and in fact, it is arguable that this is what has happened to America — Christians are victims of their own success).

I'm always surprised by the naivete’ of people who have traditional values. They live in the America of today but blindly ignore it. Tony Perkins needs to wake up. It's not just pizza shop owners who are targeted, it's everyone. The people on the left are enemies not countrymen with different opinions.

Transcript here; scroll bar about halfway down for Perkins segment. Schieffer nasty from the top, but really dishonest later, “Did you just say justices who vote for gay marriage should be impeached?” Brian Williams level of lying there.

Shouldn't Mr. Perkins have been prepared for am ambush?

We need folks who understand CBSPBSABCPMSETC will not love you or treat you courteously. They are on a mission to FORCE attitudes to change. We need to better articulate and not defend but advance the position that homosexuality is no different than any other malady that afflicts people. We can allow them but we do not have to make them "special". I don't want an exception carved out to accommodate my beliefs. I want sanity to return to the populace.

Host Bob Schieffer pounced on the Family Research Council

Why put yourself in the lion’s den and then complain about the danger? We all know what to expect from these radicals. Is there a death wish or something going on?

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins was invited to be on "Face the Nation." ... supposed to be a cordial conversation........... turned out to be a professional ambush.

Shocking.

No one, and I mean no one, could have anticipated the attacks.

Every other interview of Christians has been friendly, who could have known?

Mr. Perkins:

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Turn away from the media.

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. By that definition, Conservatives who go on talk shows are certifiably insane. NEWS FLASH: THERE IS NO GOOD THAT CAN COME OF IT.

Three things can happen: 1)you will be blindsided and viciously attacked; 2)you will be mocked and made to look like an imbecile or 3)you will become like them. You will NOT get them to agree with your beliefs. So next time they call, just tell them to F off.

Every so often you just need to go read Psalm 2 for a little encouragement. It’s nice to know that nothing can prevent His Kingdom from coming - the enemies of Christ will try but nothing can prevent His coming and His Kingdom. Lots of conflict before that happens, however.

I remember watching the Exorcist when it first came out, and although lame by today’s standards I remember the scene with Father Merrin (Max von Sydow’s character) before going to perform the exorcism, he says to Father Karras, something like “it’s important to avoid conversations with the demon. He is a liar. He will lie to confuse us. But he also mixes lies with truths to attack us. The attack is psychological and powerful. So do not listen to him.”

I always remembered that. I think about that when I watch these kinds of show, but I still don’t know why any conservative falls for it.
