The union looking to organize workers at Boeing's South Carolina plant has put its plans in a holding pattern, claiming workers are so opposed to signing up that they chased labor leaders off their porches at gunpoint.
The North Charleston plant, which opened in the right-to-work state four years ago and builds fuselages for 747s and 787s, employs about 7,500 workers. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers had been trying to build support for a vote this week on unionizing 3,175 production and maintenance workers, but called off the vote days before it was to happen.

Wasn’t the union caught cheating and forging ID’s in the name of workers?
GASP! They would never, ever, ever do anything like that. Just because there were more cards turned in than there were workers doesn’ mean they were cheating.
I wouldn’t put anything past union thugs.
“Uh, sometimes you appear on someones porch unannounced, yeah, you might find a gun pointed at you or at least one visible. Did the “opponents” of the union go looking for the commie scum bags? And it’s not like they’ve ever used threats and intimidation. “
Don’t you just love it when that happens. What I’d like to read is that some union organizer’s nuts have been found hanging from a worker’s porch rail.
The IAM is one of the worst unions in the country for violence. Nice to know they may have found their match in NC.
Oddly enough in this instance there wasn’t a single cellphone camera or GoPro anywhere to be found. Really?
Ping
What about South Carolina? LOL! I’ve been on both sides and yeah, they do manage to turn perfectly good workers into repeaters who say “Not my classification.” Whatever happened to “Let’s get the job done the quickest, safest, most efficient, profitable way we can.” Never mind. Managing them is a whole other world.
Just one of many reasons that the left wants private ownership of firearms eliminated.
Seems like an appropriate way to deal with Union Organizers. I look forward to the day when this is the normal way of dealing with Democrats as well.
The only fertile grounds left for unions are leftist guvmint workers.
You mean like AFSCuMEe.
I’m very surprised the union would admit they were scared off, at least in part, by gun toting workers.
That part of the story is going to embolden those who thought about it, but were hesitant to do it. Next time more guns will be used to express just where the worker stands on the issue of unionization.
Good for those who have done so already.
If the union said this, it was a lie.
You can bet these union slimes thought it would go the same way as in Washington. Show up on someone’s porch with a couple of thugs and get them to sign the card. Only thing is people have guns in NC.
Did they loan some to the non-union folks in South Carolina?
You only missed the correct state by one Carolina.
The unions don't want to record evidence of when their thugs are strongarming workers... and it just happened to go wrong for them.
A taste of their own medicine, and the thugs don’t like it.
Maybe.
In this case though, the lie works as well as the truth in helping people use guns in the future.
