Fast-food giant McDonald's said Wednesday it would announce a turnaround plan in two weeks as sinking US sales dragged down profits again in the first quarter.
The ubiquitous burger-and-fries chain said US sales, the largest share of global income, fell 2.6 percent from a year ago for comparable outlets.

I cannot understand the iron-clad behavior why McRib is a seasonal thing (barely eight weeks or when they run out). They could run it all year-round, with two or three different sauces possible, and I’d eat it at least twice a week.
And the high school dropouts behind the counter will still think they should be paid $15/hr. because they don’t get enough to support a family. Pathetic.

Because pig snouts and peckers are seasonal? :)
And maybe their marketing to the ghetto crowd didn’t exactly help them in terms of brand positioning.
Catering to the underclass got me to stop going there.
Can’t help out, my once a year visit is not due until October.
Here’s a thought... bring back your original french fries everyone agreed were the best. Stop serving salads and other crap no ones wants, and fire every employee who thinks they deserve more than minimum wage with a bad attitude and you might start getting some of your business back.

I’ll tell you why Macdonalds is tanking. They have become too expensive.
This last Sunday, my husband and I took the 2 grandchildren for breakfast at McDonalds. We had 2 big breakfasts, 1 sausage mcmuffin meal and 1 egg mcmuffin meal. 2 coffees, an orange juice, and a chocolate milk. The total was $26,09. Tax included.
From now on we’re going to our local restaurant, the Country Kitchen for a good meal and good service and the same price with tip.

That’s about the entire reason I don’t eat “restructured” (chopped, pressed and formed) patties...
Never had a McRib, have no desire to based on the shape of the thing...faux ribs pressed into the shape of the things...ungh.
And just now thinking about offering the breakfasts after 10:30, which customers have been asking for for decades.
Warmed over is no way to serve a burger, and their fries have a taste like the grease is bad.
In hopes of increasing sales, McDonald’s will follow in the footsteps of other companies and out Ronald McDonald and the Hamburgler as being gay.

I assume you’ve been stockpiling Alka-Seltzer and Pepto Bismol for the big event?
My wife and I share one big breakfast plus one coffee and one small coke for about $8.00 or so.
