People close to Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder have formed a fund allowing him to travel the country to more aggressively tell of the state’s rebound under his watch, raising the prospect of a potential Republican presidential bid.

A spokesman for the governor told The Associated Press on Friday that a 501(c)(4) group, Making Government Accountable, was established within the past month.

“Once we get into May, the governor will travel more out of the state and promote Michigan, particularly the remarkable economic comeback,” Jarrod Agen said.

An aide close to the governor said Snyder is considering a presidential run and that a decision could be made in a few weeks. The aide was not authorized to speak publicly about Snyder’s plans and requested anonymity. …

Yep...we’ve had eight years of Chicago-style politics, let’s for the train wreck they call the Michigan economy.

Actually Michigan’s economy has gotten considerably better but that doesn’t mean Snyder needs to get anywhere near the white house.

If Snyder wants to run for president, prop one couldn't be a worse springboard.

This isn’t a ‘Presidential run’, starting to look more like a ‘5K Run’.

Yep, just what we were thinking here at the ranch. Looks like the only conservative running is Ted Cruz, and the rest are like RINO’s jumping in to stir up, and muddy the waters disillusioning the electorate.

Let’s encourage him to run. He would help split the RINO vote. Hopefully Christie will go in as well.

Michigan’s “First Nerd” isn’t cut out for the White House. He may make a good cabinet secretary, however.

Please Synder running for president. Come on he cannot even make it across the Mackinac Bridge when it is closed for the annual Mackinac Bridge Walk. Michigan’s economy improving right that is why more people are leaving Michigan than are coming in. Recently in picking up a deceased relative’s car (VW Passat 4 Motion with an ABS problem) from Duluth MN to here I rented a uhaul with a car hauler, the perk to get a lower rate, to drop the uhaul off in Rhinelander Wisconsin.

It was either Michigan or the whole country would bail out Detroit.

However if you would prefer, you can send us the money.

The republican primary is going to look like a circus if 24 people are running. I hope someone (Cruz or Walker, hoping for Cruz) jumps way ahead early and crushes these others’ dreams

What are we up to now, 20 candidates? There should be a limit at some point. Some of these people should get a reality check. They have no chance.

No kidding. Just in time, it seems. These Republican primaries are becoming a ridiculous circus with so many entrants.

I can only think that this is being engineered behind the scenes by the GOP-e to split the conservative vote to the winds.

Unless conservatives can still be duped by the RINO stampede, I think they will recognize the clear conservative out in front.

While I would hate to lose him here, Bill Schuette would make a spectacular US attorney general. He really stands firmly behind the state constitution.

He got us the final win on affirmative action. When asked why he continues to fight gay marriage he states that its not written into the US constitution which clearly means it goes to the state to decide and the people have decided.

Oy! Don’t we have enough Republican hopefuls. or, I should say, more accurately, “no hope”fuls.
