In “honor” of his meeting with China Ambassador Cui Tiankai, Washington Governor Jay Inslee has posted the Chinese flag between the American flag and the state flag at the capitol building in Olympia.

On Saturday - A small group of people arrived at the capitol in the morning and removed the Communist flag. They were assisted by an officer from the Washington State Police. Video, courtesy of activist Maria Bosworth.

I remember when old Splotch Top Gorbachev was arrested during the military coup as the old USSR died, San Francisco flew the Soviet Red Rag on city hall in “solidarity” with Gorby. At the time a citizen of California, and someone who’s family was from the Ukraine and who had relatives die in the Soviet Famine and a dad who nearly ended up in Siberia, to me it was like they ran up a Swastika banner would be to a German Holocaust survivor.

The flag code actually prohibits the placing of one national flag above another on the same pole. If the Governor wants to “honor” the Chicoms he should fly the Chicom flag on a separate pole, at the same height as Old Glory.
I totally understand the disgust at seeing the Chicom flag displayed over the state capitol and the urge to take it down, but it’s actually an insult to the Chicoms to display their flag under the US flag on the same pole.
Leave it to Insley the Inept to blow the official protocol, insult the Chicoms and local patriots all in one bonehead move.
