Jeb Bush Seems to Shift Tone in His Praise of Indiana Law (Surprised...NOT)
NY Times ^ | April 1, 2015 | Maggie Haberman and Vindu Goel

Jeb Bush appeared to modify his public comments about Indiana’s “religious freedom” law on Wednesday in a closed-door Silicon Valley fund-raiser, telling a small group of potential supporters that a “consensus-oriented” approach would have been better at the outset.

Mr. Bush’s comments were strikingly different in tone and in scope from what he said on Monday night in an interview with the conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. In that interview he praised Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana for doing the “right thing” and said that the new law was similar to one in Florida and to a law signed by President Bill Clinton in 1993.

All I want to know is: (and no one seems able to tell me this)

With the changes the Indiana legislature just made to the law: will a Christian baker be able to legally refuse to cater a sodomite union?

YES or NO ?

If the answer is still yes, then fine. If no, then the GOP just committed suicide.

....a “consensus-oriented” approach would have been better at the outset.

Uhhhhhhhh.....isn't that how laws are passed in the first place?

Or does the word "consensus" mean something else in Floridian?

Consensus to Bush and guys like Boehner and McConnell means giving the democrats everything they want while getting something useless in return and claiming victory. Kind of like the great budget consensus. Obama gets everything and Boehner gets to reject the DC marijuana law, which they are moving ahead with anyway. That is literally the only thing he held firm on.

Well, there ya have it. It's the Ayatollah Hominy strategy. He has to say certain things for public consumption. The pronouncements come with asteriskses.

A “consensus-oriented” approach to religious liberty is what the Nazis had.

Exactly.
It is not about serving anyone which the homostapo and the media keep harping about. This is about forcing people with religion going to a union or catering to a union which they do not recognize.

It really is that simple and if people has the slightest of brains then they would know this is why the country was founded, yes religious freedom.

We don’t just give up the laws, the constitution, and the 1st amendment because in the last few years people who enjoy sex with the same sex think they should have more rights and the founding of the country be ignored.

Yes he is. Which is exactly why the RNC wants to shove him down our throats as the GOP nominee.
