Does the world of commentary really need another column bashing Ted Cruz for having the audacity to hope that he could be president?
Ill pass. As you may have noticed, the mainstream media are like birds on a wire. Reporters, pundits and producers especially those in Washington and New York tend to cover the same stories, interview the same folks and advance the same views.
---snip---
And when it comes to Cruz, the safe and conventional position for journalists, commentators and political experts is to argue that the firebrand is too extreme, too volatile and too unelectable to be a viable presidential candidate. The 44-year-old junior senator from Texas doesnt have the temperament, experience or people skills, we are told.
This is the path of least resistance.
But the truth will lead you in a different direction. My colleagues underestimate Cruz at their peril. Ive known him for more than a dozen years back when he was working for the Federal Trade Commission during the George W. Bush administration, long before anyone outside of his circle of family, friends and acquaintances had ever heard of him.
What many in the media refuse to accept is that the very attributes that make Cruz unpopular among Washington political elites also endear him to many voters across the country. This is another indicator of how far removed many of those who live and work in the nations capital are from everyday Americans....

Cruz has big brass ones.
“Freshman Senator?” SCREW YOU, I got real work to do.
The rest of the pack have little frozen peas.
Amen amen amen
I agree. Hillary is a criminal. She is in horrible heath and knocked her brains out when she passed out according to that decadent husband of hers. She is finished. We need to go far right now and make the RINOs vote with us by holding their damned noses. Cruz is awesome . We need a court ruling soon that he is eligible under Article two.
Cruz is a benchmark.
So was Obama
They should be afraid... ( ; ) Very afraid!
Cruz had the unmittigated gal to actually DO what he said he would do!
And the RINO establishment hates him for it, because it exposes THEM for the lying frauds that they are.
Under what provision of the Constitution are the courts empowered to make that determination?
That is the job of the voters, the electors and Congress.
Cruz is eligible.
Just vote for him.
“And the RINO establishment hates him for it, because it exposes THEM for the lying frauds that they are.”
THEY are the most frightened.
Doubtful courts would ever rule on this, but if they did it might come from something like a secretary of state of Massachusetts ruling a candidate ineligible to appear on the ballot and then the candidate suing. It might be arranged as a friendly action, I suppose.
If that were to happen, the reviewing court would simply have to point out that the Secretary of State has no authority to rule on the eligibility of a Candidate for Federal office. They would not rule on whether the candidate is eligible as that is the prerogative of the voters, the electors and Congress who would have the final say in certifying the election results.
A lot of people tried this with Obama. Not even the most conservative courts in America were willing to touch it.
NO DOUBT Most of Washington D.C. KNOWS... if Ted Cruz becomes President SOME OF THEM WILL go to jail.. or worse..
God only knows the shenanigans going on behind the scenes..
Cruz HAD BETTER select G. Gordon Liddy as Vice President..
OR things could happen.. If Liddy became President.. after the assignation.. heads would literally ROLL...
Bounties on proven Traitors.. and/or tax holidays..
And immunity for turning in journalists for sedition..
And University professors for espionage..
Would be nice IF the pendulum swung BACK HARD..
This was settled long ago; the most recent time, was over McCain’s birth in Panama. It was ruled that he is indeed a “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN” and therefore eligible to run for the presidency.
Cruz is the only one with bigger ones than Sarah Palin. The rest are little peas.
Gay little democrat parrots in fact.
“I don’t know how Nixon won, I don’t know ANYBODY who voted for him.”
Liberalism is an echo chamber.
I stand with Ted
AND I put my money on him
Nope that is not what we need to do or we could waste our time, energy and money . We need SCOTUS. Now not after the Rats attack him. NOW!!We cannot stick our heads in the sand and hope this huge problem goes away.
Get off the thread you birther.
