On yesterdays episode of The OReilly Factor, Bill OReilly and Glenn Beck clashed with each other about Becks statement that he no longer supports the Republican Party. It was an interesting debate, although OReilly didnt appear to grasp Becks point about defunding the Republican leadership and supporting individual candidates instead:

Becks point is well-taken. Why fund the Republican Party itself if you only support certain conservative candidates and those candidates are being attacked by their own partys leaders?
Increasingly, voters try to find candidates they support, not a specific party. Parties played a major role in organizing campaigns on every level (local, state, federal) in the past, but thats increasingly less the case nowadays. Also, when you donate your hard-earned dollars to a party rather than to an individual, part of your donation ends up helping candidates you dont support or even actively hurting the ones you do.
Both the Democratic Party and the GOP are big tents now, with people who often have conflicting views. See how Elizabeth Warren Democrats think compared to Hillary supporters, or how Cruz supporters think compared to Mitch McConnell and his ilk. They often have opposing not complementary goals.
Political parties are outdated, so why not stop supporting them?

On the other hand, Beck is kind of a nut, but occasionally gets up on his hind legs and says something worth listening to.
There are 3 political parties.
Conservatives - The Bar
Squish - The Establishment - Below the bar
Liberals - 60 ft of crap then them.
Question is, whose message will the squish supports believe come the national election?
Political parties occur by themselves. The two we have now are actually one in the same. The actual second Party is vilified by the existing uniparty, the media and the mass of low information voters that have been purposely produced by the government indoctrination centers commonly referred to as public schools.
Sometimes BOR manages to look like he doesn’t grasp much of anything, and he has been known to bloviate when a simple “I don’t know” would work so much better.
The Republican party has become a lumbering behemoth that sometimes cannot get out of its own way. Any guidance or leadership that can be attributed to persons who were elected under its banner is largely concentrated in either the libertarian or conservative elements, and their advice is almost always resented by the larger body. Resented, but eventually followed.
Except by Karl Rove. He just resents any opinion not invented by himself, and actively sabotages differences.
As a disclosure, I was disappointed in Nader because he is against crony capitalism but supports subsidies for "Green Jobs" and the environment because "this is an important issue". He lost me there, crony capitalism does not discriminate between green and black energy.
I will not listen to either one, blowhards and jerks both. Nothing new has always been my stand on both of them
O’reilly and Beck are outdated. Haven’t listened to either one for quite some time.
in my state it completely IS the case that the state Republican Party has long mishandled it’s traditional role , long mishandled funds that are entrusted it , long failed to support many popular candidates , seemingly preferring defeat at the hands of the Democrats rather than the victory of those that the RNC has secretly black-listed . I see absolutely no reason to support that organization with one red cent . I see every reason to support individual candidates whom I do support .
What is he a nut about?
Beck has the ability to get to the heart of an issue and explain it very well.
Long ago he stopped preaching to the choir and set out to objectively define or re-define what people on both sides of the aisle were being led to believe.
While at Fox, when he drew the “Railroad tracks” veering off to the left, and demonstrated how both the left rail and the right were in effect the same party and the public debate had come down to Communism on the left or fascism on the right, was brilliant.
I avoided Beck even on his CNN days.
two dead horses.
O’Reilly is a self-promoting, bloviating know-it-all (when he does and he continually makes mistakes about Vietnam and Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s hearings).
Also, he is the rudest moderator on TV, anywhere and his nasty habits of interrupting key statements from his guests is now infecting Megan Kelly and even Sean Hannity.
Watch and listen to how O’Reilly (and Kelly), clip off the end of a guest’s answer(s), thus depriving the audience of the logic of what was said.
Beck has changed but he did more to wake up Americans to the internal subversion going on in America than all the other well-meaning but undereducated (on the topic of subversion), talk-show hosts put together.
However, we need to UNITE, not DIVIDE ourselves in these crucial months leading up to the next presidential election.
I’d take Ted Nugent as president over Jeb Bush, so you know I’m not happy with the present status quo Republicans though I like Ted Cruz and Scott Walker.
However, I’d prefer John Bolton. He’s got guts, balls, and understands who our enemies are, how they operate, and what needs to be done to take them down.
Otherwise, I’m just a neutral kind of guy.
Can’t stand either.
Parties were a bad idea from the start. Parties are innately more interested in power than platform, they pay lip service to an ideology to get supporters but they really just want the numbers.
Battle of the midget minds.
Need new parties—GOP must go the way of the Whigs! We need a new liberal party to replace the neo-Communist creature Obama heads. I propse a Liberty Party—to grow out of the Tea Party Movement.
