Nothing was solved.
Since Starbucks launched its Race Together initiative encouraging customers to have conversations about racial issues with its employees there have been a slew of Internet think pieces about whats right or wrong about it.
Some people said it was an awkward and a dumb idea. Other people said those people were racists. So I decided to go out and see for myself what it would be like if I actually did what Starbucks was telling its customers to do. On Friday, I spent the entire day visiting Starbucks locations all around New York City, starting conversations about the initiative and racial issues in general.
Now, Starbucks has since announced that it has stopped the part of the initiative where employees put stickers that say Race Together on the cups. But, as you can see from the video, the stickers may have been the least ridiculous part about the overall ridiculous campaign. Open conversations about race can be a good thing, but, as it turns out, a crowded coffee shop with a line forming behind you isnt exactly the best place to start them.
I have to watch this later.

Me too!
The guy at Starbucks that conceived or approved this idea should be fired immediately.
Even if it was the CEO !!!
“I have to watch this later.”
I went and got a suspicious pop-up and another website?
Immediately cntrl-alt-delete to task manager to shut it down.
What a PERFECT nutshell showing HOW MUCH Obama has IMPROVED race relations, right?
Remember that really bold, early point where Rush said, “hey, after him I’ll bet they get MUCH WORSE..!”
Remember that.

Me too. I had to restart. Check your open windows before you do if you’re halfway thru’ something
I must have missed all that at Starbucks ... :-) ...
Let me sum up the video.... “UH, can I take the next customer!” (We don’t want to discuss this - we are trying to sell $5 cups of coffee...)
I find this entire Starbuck Race Together nonsense to be hysterically humorous.
It was the CEO.
He has also said he doesn’t want anybody to carry guns into ANY Starbucks.
Another limousine liberal telling everybody else how to live THEIR lives.
I loved it! The employees didn’t seem to be that into it.
Don’t buy their expensive swill and fund IBeralism. There are many cheaper alternatives.
Haven’t been there in years.
Unfortunately, at one time I was addicted to the stuff and laid down a lot of money there. I wish I had it back now. :)

I did too. My laptop froze up and then beeped and went to the Windows screen.
