“right” must mean something very different over there
It does, but it’s interesting how the term “The American Way of Life” has come to mean internationally the exact opposite of what it meant when Superman first referred to it. :)
Nazi’s are called right wing by the fascists. Anything other than bolshevism and fascism to them is “Right wing”. It actually kind of makes sense...they are so far left that left of center to them is far right.
Well, it doesn’t mean ‘commie’ or ‘socialist’ that’s for sure.
The way I look at it.....two sides of the same coin. But they look at it through the lens of socialism.....whether it’s international socialism or national socialism. No difference, really.
Yes, to a degree...but it's not hard to wrap your head around the difference.
It's a much older culture so the history is different.
Technically speaking, we have the same sort of extreme right wing here, in the form of Fascist skin head types, Anarchists, etc...But the Democrat party has spent a lot of time and money redefining what the right is, in the US.
From the real (not perceived) textbook, Conservatives are actually more in the center of the right wing spectrum. The democrats have us as the far right, but it's not even remotely true..
Frankly, it's better in the US, to avoid thinking in these terms that the Democraps have designed for us...If you cannot define yourself, they will certainly do it for you and they have.
