Senate Bill 240, introduced by Senate Majority leader Michael Roberson, would allow for free background checks for private party gun sales. Thus circumventing the push for “universal background checks,” by the Michael Bloomberg astroturf groups, such as “Everytown for Gun Safety.” Of course they’re not happy, and they’re calling the legislation, a “fake backgrounds check bill,” because its purpose is not registration.

Well, it's a least an attempt to derail IP2 which will be on the 2016 ballot. Still, bloomers and margabby-kelly-giffords and their ilk will still be pumping $$$$$ into the state to convince the IPOS/SPOS/LPOS to vote yes on this initiative. Nevada residents, if you wish to comment on this bill SB-240, got to this link and comment:

A real background check would require only identification of the purchaser, not of the firearm. The state and FedGov do not need to know the type of firearm purchased, and they certainly do not need to know a serial number. Just about all background check legislation requires this information, because it’s about registration as a step toward confiscation, the opposite of public safety.

And apparently we’re happy about this? The 2nd Amendment does NOT say, “Shall not be infringed, as long as you have a background check”. It’s pretty clear that background checks are un-Constitutional, and that FFL dealers are the lowest scumbag money grubbing rotten ba$tards for making money off the destruction of our God given rights. Piss on em all. I refuse to submit to a background check, period.

Great! That goes right along with the mental illness exception there in the 2nd Amendment right after “shall not be infringed except...”

None of it makes me/us happy. Agreed that it is all “infringement”, but the bloomer led initiative will make criminals out of a lot of people. By design? Probably. Sadly WA state passed a similar initiative last election and they are still trying to figure out the workings of how to enforce and who’s violated it and who hasn’t. No doubt that since the forces of evil managed to “persuade” (lies and obsfucation) more than twice the number required to sign the petition in NV, the IPOS/SPOS/LPOS will be easily convinced this initiative on the ballot will save everybody from EVER being harmed by a firearm.
