On Election Day PM urged Right-wing to go vote as Arab voters were going "en masse to the polls."
In a meeting with representatives of minority communities in Israel on Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized for the remarks that he made on Election Day about Arab Israeli voters.
"I know that the things I said a few days ago hurt some citizens in Israel, the Arab Israeli citizens," Netanyahu said.
"This was not my intention and I am sorry," he said.
Netanyahu's Election Day remarks have garnered extensive criticism.
The Right-wing government is in danger. Arab voters are going en masse to the polls. Left-wing NGOs are bringing them on buses, he wrote last week on his Facebook page.
Netanyahu said Monday that as prime minister he makes enormous investments in minority communities which proves the opposite of his comments last week.
Netanyahu told the gathered community leaders on Monday that he saw himself as the prime minister of every one of them, "without any difference in religion, race, or sex."
"I see in every Israeli citizen a partner in the building of a flourishing and safe state of Israel for all," Netanyahu remarked.

It is very good that Netanyahu won, and apparently many Israeli-Arabs voted for him. This must imply that they too want a safe, secure Israel to live in. I am curious, are there any Jews who have “defected” to Arab countries and want them to prevail?
Never apologize. What good does it do? Those Arabs will never love him anyway
Why is Netanyahu so apt to flip flop on such major stances?
Prior to the election, he opposed a two state solution and soon after advocates a state of Palestine.
Now, he is backing off the Arab voting issue.
IMO, The ‘defectors’ may resemble George Soros, in that they are myopically insular, thoroughly pragmatic, and detached from their heritage. This kind of person worships of money, ONLY money! Making money is their Raison d’Etre.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is clearing up the FALSE ACCUSATION that he intended to discriminate against the ARAB CITIZENS. I know Netanyahu never intended that ... so now he clears that up!
He ahould have just clarified, that he was talking about foreign money (Obama) trying to control the outcome by bussing in Netanyahu’s opposition. It really had nothing to do with their race as much as their politics.
You know, like they bussed in blacks for Dems or the Mississippi race. It wasn’t their color, it was their die-hard left allegiance.
Yes! In fact why state all of that in a defensive manner? Go on the attack against foreign influence used in an election. Never apologize. He can’t take back what he said. He said they were bussing in Arabs and that is supported by facts. Why even accept their premise?
Now Bibi should prosecute Obama’s people tampering with Israeli elections, and if they need more laws to make sure it never happens again they should pass new laws.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not flip-flopping ... that’s just what the LIBERAL MEDIA wants you to believe!
Netanyahu was very clear on the issue of the TWO-STATE SOLUTION ... he ALWAYS backed it, since his Bar-Ilan speech when Obama first came into office in 2009. Netanyahu has been the same all along! Netanyahu said that he NEVER backed off that support for it!
Secondly, Netanyahu DID NOT (as the LIBERAL MEDIA wants you to believe) go with a “message of DISCRIMINATION) against ARAB ISRAELI CITIZENS ... and then “flip-flop” to “not discriminating”. THAT is a FALSE ACCUSATION!
Don’t buy into the FALSE ACCUSATIONS!!
And by the way, here is the Bar-Ilan speech from 2009 ...

Why? When has a Conservative ever put anything behind him by apologizing?
What was done was not against the law. Netanyahu, himself, had foreign advisors and money, too. If you cut off the other side, then you have to cut off your own side, you see ... :-) ...
I believe the problem was, that Netanyahu’s side probably didn’t have as much money. Maybe next time we could send some money!
I think this will do it.
Good to see this. There was a story about the highest % of votes in a town voting for Bibi was an Israeli Arab village. Bibi listened to their concerns and had modern infrastructure installed in the village.
WIN FIRST!! Apologies come later so good for Netanyahu
“I am curious, are there any Jews who have defected to Arab countries and want them to prev”
Not quite right. The Israeli Arabs are those and their descendants who stayed in what would become Israel post-1947 partition. They made the smart move to stay while most others left thinking the Arab armies would kill all the Jews in 1947.
To get the stinking EU and UN off his back. That's why!!!! Bibi has to cater to world opinion. Israel does a tremendous volume of trade with the EU so he has to humor them

Exactly. If we'd passed voter ID laws and prosecuted voter fraud early on, we wouldn't be stuck with Obama or Al Franken or the rest of them.
