A new study of more than 130,000 news articles on the 2012 presidential election between Republican nominee Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama proves without a doubt that the press strongly leans Democratic.
((snip))
While the studys findings are not exactly surprising, its important nonetheless to show that liberal media bias isnt exactly a fictional conservative grievance.

Calling Captain Obvious......
The damage done to our once republic by a corrupted press is incalculable.
I remember John Roberts on CNN mornings (now with Fox in Atlanta) with his daily “factcheck/truthmeter/politifact” lie segments.
He was never on the side of any GOP/Republican/Conservative. All hits to anybody not Democrat.
I was amazed that Fox hired him. Nothing but lies comes out of his mouth.
Where’s the picture of the bear in the woods?
Seriously, this is no surprise. When I last watched the evening news 20 some years ago, every story out of Washington contained a subtle or not so subtle slam on Republicans, even if they weren’t conservative Republicans. I doubt things have gotten better.
J. D. Roberts a 'journalist'? Nah! A Tranna born and raised talking (air)head.
Real news reader or not, he did definite damage to the GOP ticket in the run up to the 2012 election. Most of his politifact/factcheck “truth sets” were totally biased in favor of Obama.
Agreed. Throw the public education system in there as well.
Every December 15th, the day of ratification, should be devoted to the study of our BOR.
Subsequent Leftist professors wouldn't get very far with young people steeped in our traditions since kindergarten.
Probably true what you say. Regardless, this cretin was on EVERY DAY in the peak of morning drive time and stop offs, airports, hotels and other places spreading Obama propaganda and lying about his opponents. Scum
Second, even the Examiner article is lazy. "Overall, media reporting contained more frequently positive statements about the Democrats than the Republicans. Overall, the Republicans were more frequently the object of negative statements." 90% more often? 50% more often? 1% more often? Without that simple bit of data this article doesn't actually say anything.
Author should have called on Media Research Center for some meaningful data. I’ve had the opportunity to visit their offices and review their procedures and data storage. If they put it out, you can be sure it’s factual and well documented. Anyone not supporting this organization should give it some consideration.
Excellent point. I was thinking that at a minimum they should have read the study they were ostensibly writing about. but a call would have been so easy too. I have heard of computer algorithms that basically “read” news articles and produce an article from the article. Apparently they are quite common for internet news services. Maybe Townhall bought one of those software programs.
