CLAYTON, Mo. The St. Louis County police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of two police officers outside the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday morning, a police spokesman said Sunday.
The police and prosecutors have scheduled a news conference later Sunday to announce the arrest.
The two officers one from the county police and the other from the nearby Webster Groves department were standing shoulder to shoulder as part of a protective line facing demonstrators across the street from the police station. At least three gunshots came from a distance behind the demonstrators, as much as 125 yards away, the authorities said.

Press Conference has NOT started though Fox is there, 34 minutes after the hour now.
So they finally found the grassy knoll shooter.
Ferguson is only about 250 miles from Amana Iowa. It was probably an agitator from there.
Should be.
I’m in KC right now. It’s 4 hrs from St Louis but a world away.
Suspect, Jeffrey Williams, press conference just started.

Son of Obozo, need I ask? I know, no need to ask.
Sounds like a KKK guy to me. /s
Are you kidding? The guy will be a hero in prison.
The “journalists” at CNN must be deeply sadden to hear this creep was a local and NOT an outside agitator.
Kf him
He’s a circus freak.
They just announced he’s “Amish”...
Unexpected. ..
A reporter just asked point blank for the race of the suspect and yes he is an African American.
Jeffery is black.
Jeffry was a protester and may have been in conflict with other protesters indicating these natives cannot even get along with each other.
That is shocking... Not
Most murders of black are committed by other blacks. They often don't get along.
I don't buy it, though. He shoots twice and the hated white cops are hit? You can bet they were his target.
The Amish perp claims he wasn’t targeting the police but, in a dispute with someone else.
Allrighty then.../S
He doesn’t look like any kkk members in my circle.
Does anyone believe a black jury in that area will ever convict this creep?
