Jeb bush will be a fighter. Fighting the conservative base after the election
Courteous Memo fm Jeb to Scott: “Mr. Walker, this town aint big enough for the two of us. Read me, Bro.?”
Equally Courteous Memo fm. Scott to Jeb: Mr.Bush, What I’m ‘reading’ is that your support in this town is melting away like hot wax! Have a Nice Day, Bro.”
Walker hands down.
He ain’t perfect but he damn sure ain’t Bush.
The Conservative Movement needs to unify behind a single candidate, or else JB gets it.
What are these great “innovations of the last 6 years” is this idiot talking about? ObamaDeath Care?
George HW Bush got his butt kicked by a conservative...
like father, like son.
Some families just don’t learn...
Obviously the establishment has softened to Walker because they see he can be bought.
You are going to make a certain set of freepers heads explode with post titles like this.
I give Cruz a better shot than she does.
Dear JEB,
It is not “your turn”.
Cruz!
Let’s take food and water away from Jebbie for a month or two and see if he still runs.
Just in case he or one of his people reads this I thought I’d let google translate the above for them:
Vamos a tomar los alimentos y el agua lejos de Jebbie por un mes o dos y ver si todavía funciona.
Good article. I tend to agree with most of the analysis.
-Walker’s not perfect, and I have questions about where he’ll end up on immigration if he becomes the nominee, but he’s looking more and more like the best bet for a conservative candidate. I am a Jindal fan, but I can’t deny that he faces an uphill struggle to the nomination. And, after reading was some LA-base FReepers have had to say, I realize Jindal’s not the perfect candidate, either.
-As much I as love Sarah Palin, I don’t see her as a viable candidate for President in 2016. I think she’s a tremendous asset to the conservative cause, as she can and will say the things that need to be said, even when they aren’t politically popular. And she’s still a fundraising draw. But I don’t see her going anywhere in the primaries, if she chooses to run.
-I’ve always felt Rand Paul is too much like his dad. It’s in a nicer, more reasonable-sounding package, but it’s ultimately still much the same old “magic elixir to all our political problems” that dad peddles.
-Ted Cruz has got the heart, no question. But I do tend to agree he could benefit from some more time in lower office first, esp. if he could get some executive experience (Governor Ted Cruz?). That said, if Cruz gets the nomination, I’ll support him 100%.
-Huckabee and Santorum are both good men, IMHO. But they aren’t going anywhere. It’s their business if they want to run again, but at best they’ll get enough support for the eventual nominee to consider them for a cabinet post. Neither will be the nominee or tapped for the VP slot.
-As for Jeb...no. Just no. I voted for George W. twice, and would unquestionably do so again, given the alternatives (Gore, Kerry). I also swallowed my pride in 2012 and voted for Romney, settling for “half a loaf” because I knew what four more years of Obama would bring us. But I will not support Jeb Bush. No more political dynasties, and no votes for a nominee who will surely perpetuate the same establishment, spineless Republicanism that dumps on conservatism and caves to the left every time there is a challenge.
I think she's too quick to dismiss Huckabee (I'm not a fan, but hey...) and Sarah Palin (New York women can't stand her, it turns out, and lots of other GOP women as well; I was surprised a couple of times on that score four or five years ago when, even after the election was over, certain women who liked GOP candidates, seethed at the mention of Sarah's name), although I would have to believe her when she says Donald Trump is just playing around with politics.
I would prefer Cruz or Palin over Walker because of his coolness to issues I care about. Union-buster isn't the top credential on my list.
But the author's right, and even a little short of right, about Jeb's Uberness. That guy, empathize and sympathize with less-than-totally-liquid Republicans? I cannot imagine it. He'd just as willingly contract us all out as indentured labor to Tata International or the King of Spain, as defend our 1A, 2A, and 10A rights -- forget 4A, 5A, 9A, 75% of the people don't even know what they are, and Jeb knows they don't.
No on Jeb.
I think Walker will peak early. The real race will be between Bush and Cruz.
I’m still hoping for Cruz.
ALL these writers and ALMOST ALL of the big money donors are overlooking BUSH FATIGUE.
They’re in for a huge shock.
The MSM continues to control the public opinion........
