It is a matter of record that the Constitution was ratified as a strict, narrowly-defined enumeration of federal powers. Anything not specifically spelled out in it as a federal power is a federal power that does not exist, and that must be left to the state and local levels.
The Framers identified each Congressional power in Article I, Section 8 (why would they do this if the General Welfare and Commerce clauses granted Congress a blank check to do whatever it wants?), and even added the 10th Amendment to further clarify that this is all it is authorized to do...

Liberals confuse the Declaration of Independence with the Constitution and quote from the DoI thinking they’re quoting the Constitution.

Change will come from the states, not DC; and it’s way past time for the states to begin re-asserting the provisions of the Constitution.
A resounding FU from governors and state legislatures in response to the edicts coming out of the District of Criminals will turn things around in a hurry.
The problem is they don’t read it, they ‘interpret’ it. Like the courts, and it ends up saying what they want it to say. It’s the antithesis to the rule of law.
Liberals confuse feelings and facts and have no concept of freedom being more important than safety.
I’ve been saying the same thing for years. The feral government will eventually be unable to enforce its edicts and many of the various states will operate in defiance.

That statement appears to explain our current situation. It’s freighting.

I’m guessing we (the people) do not have the courage to do the above.
So, while we’re busy calling other people “cowards”, we are in the same boat .. because we have not the courage to STOP THIS CURRENT INSANITY.
And RINOs too . .I was at a Tea Party Rally on Capitol Hill a few years ago and Boehner flubbed so many "and as our Constitution affirms" as he then quoted the Declaration. It did not go unnoticed.
Okay, so we have ten reasons not to accept what is being done to our country.
Now, give me ONE solution to the problem.
One reason “we” lack the courage, is that we aren’t organized in any meaningful way. If a lone individual ever stands against this current tyranny, “we” will be the first to condemn him as a nutcase, and pray that he’s exposed as a Democrat.
All liberal lies about the Constitution are in the top ten, and there’s more than ten in the top ten.
The root issue is that liberalism is based on equality, while conservatism is based on liberty. The problem is that equality can be implemented by law, while liberty cannot. While equality can be dictated by empirical measures that are so beloved by government nannies, outcomes are inherently unequal under liberty.
All great advances are predicated by innumerable failures, but the sirens’ song of equality is advance without failure or even cost. Modern conservative leaders have bought into the lie that they can have liberty without cost and are more concerned with maintaining the status quo than advancing liberty.
I am more than ready to retake dc. Just get the lib’s & lawyers out of my way & I’ll start building the gallows!
Excellent synopsis. Yet we all seem to be waiting for someone else to decide it’s time to defend liberty.
