U.S. Rep. Candice Miller (R-Harrison Township) announced Thursday that she will not seek re-election in 2016.
"I freely pass the baton to whomever my community chooses to serve as their next voice in the US House of Representatives," Miller said in a statement. "I pledge to support their choice to the very best of my ability, as I pledge to finish my term with a commitment to fulfill my duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability, as I swore in my oath of office."

Hopefully a good conservative runs and wins.
She gets an F from conservative review.
She will likely challenge Debby Slobbercow for he Senate seat.
he=her
Is this why she votes like a libtard?
Where’s David Jaye?
Stab-me-now’s not up until 2018.
Oh really? You obviously missed her last vote......you know , the 25 House Republicans who voted for the funding of the DHS and subsequent funding of Obama's executive amnesty bill.........
FWIW, she also voted for Boehner as the continued house speaker..........not that that's really an issue but it certainly explains her last vote.
Good riddance Candice, you weren't going to get my vote in your next election run anyway......
David Jaye. That’s a name I haven’t heard in ages. Last I heard, he was arrested in Florida for drunk and disorderly.
I didn't know that. I take back my comment. Boehner I knew about.
Hopefully the next candidate is better.
Never happen......This past week's vote that could have defunded Obama's amnesty sealed her fate and I would have never supported her and stated that fact in my latest letter to the editor of the Macomb Daily.........
I suspect that her motives in her vote was a political payback for support in maintaining the operational functions of Selfridge ANG base...........I might be wrong
Tired of being in the majority already?
she is my congress person...
regardless of what you say, if i sent her an email asking hard questions, i always got a reply..
not some roboreply like stab-a-cow or comrade levin, but a real honest to goodness hand written reply..
now, i did not always agree with her vote, but she took the time and electrons to explain it to me fully..
sometimes, she actually changed my mind..
so, is she a hard core conservative??
no..
does she give a shit about her constituents..
absolutely..
until now
Her district ended 500 ft. from my house when I lived in Michigan. I considered her my rep because she was far, far better than Sander Levin.
My two sons have flown with her husband in his plane. He did Young Eagles flights at Ray Airport
New State Rep. Todd Courser seems solid...maybe he should take a run at it.
Open seat in MI-10, shouldn’t be in any danger. Was Romney’s 2nd best seat in the state.
Curious that Jim Barcia is mentioned as a potential Dem nominee, he’d be a strong challenger. Probably the last respectable, non-moonbat Democrat Congressman from Michigan.
I figured he was done when he retired from the State Senate in 2010. Hopefully just wishful thinking by the rats.
