".....Whoa. Now is that fair? The minute that this PolitiFact item was released, I got an email from a fellow Reagan expert who was steamed. Paul, youve got to take this on! he wrote.
No, I didnt want to take it on. I instantly recognized what Walker was talking about, and was mystified by the harsh reaction. I knew the PATCO material published in Peggy Noonans and Edmund Morris books, and elsewhere.
Because a politician in an unscripted TV interview referred to documents rather than books by biographers, hes a liar with his pants on fire? Should we hold a governor to the standard that we do scholars because he used the word documents in an off-the-cuff remark to a TV guy? Do we expect our politicians to be archival experts in Cold War documentation adhering to the utmost academic-scholarly precision while making general statements?
Clearly, Walker had indeed correctly read that the Soviets were impressed by Reagans actions, and surely assumed (understandably) that the authors he remembered writing about the incident (being authors) probably used some sort of documents for their research.
But because he used a word like documents instead of, say, biographers, were going to denounce him, Liar, liar, pants on fire?!
Does anyone really think that Scott Walker lied here? Please, give me a break...."

As Scott Walker moves on, he can expect to get much more of this. Ronald Reagan certainly did. Dont let it bother you, governor, youre in good company.

He's been getting "this" for years and he keeps moving forward.
Its Not Just Hillary: Scott Walkers Email Controversy [Will the Daily Beast print the truth?]
The left are so afraid they will loose their power , gained by the hoodwinking of America, that they are getting desperate.
The real question is whether they will begin to resort to direct violence to obtain their ends. Obama, who detests the American people, is counting on that violence so he can invoke martial law.
Walker knows exactly how to bait the liberals and anti-conservative Republicans. Claiming that Reagan’s breaking of the PATCO strike was a foreign policy achievement made heads explode.
Walker is magnificent!

MADISON, Wis. Taxpayers conservatively have spent north of $775,000 defending the prosecutors of a politically charged John Doe investigation driven on a legal theory that even the prosecutors have rejected.
The state, as of Monday, had paid $368,654.60 for the legal defense of Francis Schmitz, the special prosecutor for the multi-county John Doe probe into dozens of conservative organizations and Gov. Scott Walkers campaign, according to information obtained by Wisconsin Reporter through an open records request.
Taxpayers are on the hook for another $407,643.58 in attorney fees to defend Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, the Democrat who launched the probe in late summer 2012, two of his assistant DAs and a special investigator contracted by the state Government Accountability Board.
Thats an awful lot of taxpayer dollars to advance a legal theory that the state itself has already repudiated, said Andrew M. Grossman, an attorney for political activist Eric OKeefe and his Wisconsin Club for Growth, one of 29 conservative groups targeted in the campaign finance probe.
The expenditures were released by Walkers legal counsel, who, under state law, is in charge of handling the legal bills of the same people who for the past few years have gone after Walkers campaign and the Republican governors conservative allies. Costs reflect only money spent defending the prosecutors in federal court."............ READ MORE
If true armed suppression were to be tried, the resulting insurrections wold quickly quell and overcome the imposed "order", and with a much looser standard of "rules of engagement" than the military now has imposed upon them, the resolution would proceed to rather high pitch in short order.
There are a lot of lamp posts out there. Mussolini did not last all that long when he lost hold. More recently, Nicolae Ceaușescu, longtime Communist leader of Romania, with his wife, Deputy Prime Minister Elena Ceaușescu, were convicted on all charges of treason and malfeasance of office, and immediately executed on Christmas Day 1989, becoming the last persons condemned to death and executed in Romania.
Richard Allen,Reagan’s disgraced former NSA, was the one that said that if we did this to our own people imagine what the Soviets think we would do to them. I’m ex-PATCO and I hope that Walker or Cruz is our next President.
who is going to carry it out for him>>>>>>>>
Homeland Security and First Brigade Combat Team of the Third Division , US Army ( 4000 troops).
While I’m as pessimistic as anyone here on FR I’m afraid I can’t be that paranoid.
He is obviously a threat to their entrenched power. They will go back to his third grade to find out if he was racist/sexist/homophobe/headchopperphobe/trannyphobe.
“who is going to carry it out for him>>>>>>>>
Homeland Security and First Brigade Combat Team of the Third Division , US Army ( 4000 troops).”..
Bawwwwhhhhhhhhhhhha! 4000 troops is a pretty small number when you consider there are more than 400,000 hunters in Wisconsin alone, not to mention all the other states. Me thinks there will be some “resistance” when those 4000 troops come out, IF the come out at all.
Millions are willing to kill for socialism, we know that.
The big problem they face is that not all that many are willing to die for it. The time is nearly at hand to find out who’s who.
I think that "loser pays" would be a great deterrent to politically motivated lawsuits. Often, the lawsuits are baseless--their only purpose is to harass the defendant. It seems that a little legal reform would go a long way towards curbing some of these abuses.
“The real question is whether they will begin to resort to direct violence to obtain their ends.”
Their punks are beginning to operate on an Alinsky basis throughout this society.
IMHO
Those who keep trying to take him down (on FR) need to put up or shut up by stating who they are backing and whether they are donating or just spouting.
DITTOES to THAT!
