Bingo .. which is likely the reason his page was yanked. people post political crap - left and right - all the time on facebook and their comments are not deleted and their accounts are not suspended.

true but Facebook does very much have a leftist bias in that regards, comments and accounts ARE suspended for those things
Most of my messages on FB are from conservatives and conservative news sites. Have not had a problem.
I know of many people who have been suspended for no reason after expressing a conservative or libertarian opinion.
