CPAC 2015 kicked off with training for activists today, and will commence in full force tomorrow morning (Thurs) and run through Saturday.
The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is the biggest Conservative political event of the year, and is a showcase for potential Presidential candidates
On Thursday, we will hear the following give their pitches in the Main Ballroom: Dr. Ben Carson, Senator Mike Lee, Gov Chris Christie (I know, I know, but he has guts to show up), Carly Fiorina, Senator Ted Cruz, Gov. Scott Walker, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. Sarah Palin, and Nigel Farange (leader of the UKIP).
Whyat damned bunch od phoneys. Nobady gives a crap about cpac. Total joke.
Does anybody have a schedule for broadcasting of CPAC ..??
I’d like to see it, but C-SPAN is so unreliable for things that have a Conservative slant.
Is it better to watch the speeches on the internet ..??
There are only a handful of people I’d like to hear from. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Sarah Palin, Nigel Farage.
Yeah, me too.
Any candidate who polls lower than Nigel should likely reconsider his/her run.
I was there tonight since I live down the road from National Harbor and met both Dr. Carson and Governor Perry.
Lucky you...I’m jealous.
.
So Willard will not be there ???
The CPAC is trying to be Conservative this year ???
Who knew ???
Unfortunately, CPAC does not list the schedule of the speakers, only a “General Session” from 9am-2pm and 4:430pm-6pm tomorrow. Currently, C-Span’s schedule only lists one 45 minute broadcast during the Reagan Dinner at 7:15pm on Friday.
Oh no. You missed the only one that matters...Governor Walker. I am sure it was an oversight on your part.

I have seen Gov. Walker speak before, and think that he would be a great President - inspired into politics by Ronald Reagan, and meeting with Reaganites to work on his economic platform (tax cuts).
God Bless him.
Some other Governors have good results to tout as well - Jindal and Perry come to mind, and several others balanced budgets. But no doubt that Walker can make an impressive case, based on balancing the budget, cutting taxes, improving jobs and making important structural reforms (right to work).
What was your impression of them as potential candidates?
This is one of the big purposes of a CPAC - a beauty contest to showcase candidates, culminating in their straw poll results after 5 PM on Saturday.
How did they strike you?
I just want to hear Ted’s speech. Thank goodness net “neutrality” has yet to completely take over and coerce YouTube to censor Ted’s speech!

I’m not sure what the best way to watch will be.
