A better question to ask is whether or not there is a legitimate place for violence within Islamic tradition. The answer is yes. The primary means of determining this right in Islam is power. According to Islamic thinking, if you are in power and succeeding, then God is clearly blessing and supporting you. If you are not, then God has chosen not to bless you. Of the first four caliphs after Mohammed, three of them were violently murdered, either by assassination, mob, or in battle, all by fellow Muslims who supported other leaders. The first two Islamic dynasties came into power by slaughtering those who held power before them. Islams history only gets bloodier from there, since might makes right in a way that is foreign to the Judeo-Christian world. Despite the shocking number of Christians or secular Westerners being killed by Muslims, Muslims are killing even greater numbers of other Muslims.

It doesn’t lead to violence. It begins with violence. It is the personification of pure violence and hate. It has no other reason to exist other than to be violent and beget violence.

It has before.
It is now.
Pretty likely it’ll do so in the future.
There is, however a sure fire solution.
That solution surprisingly involves.....fire.

I keep hearing that this is Islamist Fundamentalism, I think this would be better called Islamist Resubmission after a breaking with Islamic Teaching.
If you haven’t noticed, Islamists before even being radicalized didn’t follow the tenets of their faith.
In Islam, there is one get out of hell free card, Jihad.

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step, and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it (Islam) has vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

Islam is violence. Starts with and ends with. That is if it ever ends.

Islam was born in violence.
Mohamed grew Islam through conquest and violence.
Islam persecuted and conquered Jewish and Christian territory for 400 years before Catholics decided it was time to retaliate.

How many muslims disagree with the implementation of global sharia?
Virtually none. Otherwise one would be viewed as an apostate to the quran and hence, to allah.
Even Jordanian King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi (”good muslims”) are purposely nebulous on this view, but at their cores would not deny it.

Read an analysis of Christianity, Judaism and Islam recently that was in response to oblamer’s “high horse” remark.
The author summed up his points by saying that violence was incidental to Christianity and Judaism but fundamental to Islam.
Only victims of America’s public schools would argue with that.
