Complete Headline: Obama administration sent 800,000 people the wrong Obamacare subsidy information – and 50,000 will need to file their 2014 taxes a SECOND time

The Obama administration said on Friday that the Internal Revenue Service sent incorrect tax information to about 800,000 Americans who enrolled in new medical insurance plans through Healthcare.gov.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Health and Human Services subagency that handles Obamacare, sent them forms that contained an error which would cause them to miscalculate the government subsidy for their insurance policies.

That, the administration admitted, would change the amount of their tax refunds, or change the amount they owe.

A source at the Treasury Department told Daily Mail Online that of about 80,000 people who have already filed their taxes on the basis of the flawed information, it is expected that 50,000 will have to file again.

Barry has promised all of his “unaccompanied” illegal pals 24 grand from the Earned Income tax Credit fiasco. I guess he’s looking for some way to get the money.

studying tax preparation seems like a good idea now that Obama has made it even more complicated to file taxes on one’s own.

And of course, if they made a mistake because of using the original one and ended up owing, the IRS will impose fines for not filing properly or something.

So. The IRS, attack dog and Loan Shark Enforcer that it is just couldn't help itself in seeking that almighty buck to run this tyranny. They didn't even consider Obama's Least and Dimmest in this. These affected 800,000, I'd bet, are those who got near full subsidies (or Medicaid) AND who are expecting their yearly EITC bonanza check in the mail any day now. Why else would the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services be commenting on this in the article?

They don't say how the IRS effed up. They don't say what the specific misinformation was. My guess is that the information was just the plain truth - and that would cause havoc. Obama is now just begging them to wait to file until he can figure sumpin out on how not to have their EITC checks reduced because of the subsidies. It just won't do for 800,000 of his voters to get checks less than the customary $5K checks they've been getting all these years.

But people don't mind filing their income tax statements (even a second time), do they? I mean: They all know that it's for the "greater good," right?

Healthcare.gov stated they used 2015 premium figures when they should have used 2014 premium figures. They actually recommended waiting to file taxes until March after corrected statements were mailed.

AND the IRS still hasn’t issued specific instructions (Publication 974) for certain cases. It’s so messed up that the Federal government is going to reopen Obamacare enrollment.

It figures. The reason is because Obama and his thieves only wanted the concept of a promise they made. They never understood the inanity of what they wrote, they don’t have one scintilla of an idea of how make it like they envisioned, it will not ever work or even stabilize while they keep changing the laws like they’re just ‘suggestions’.

ObamaCare was a dream concept formulated by zealots and implemented by abject idiots.

last night I caught part of an interview on the radio with a man from the Heritage Foundation commenting on this. It is delicious.

Most of the people who qualify for subsidies generally file 1040EZ FORMS; lower income, no deductions. With the subsidies, they must now file 1040A or 1040, wait for and file at least three additional forms anf fill out a form with three columns for each month of the year showing their policy cost, subsidy and their portion of what they paid. Thirty six entries.

Now they have to do it all over again and file amended returns.

I would bet that most of them have never had to delve this much into tax preparation and likely paid or will have to pay for the first one and/or the second one.

They won’t be happy and will likely decide that it isn’t worth it next time, so would opt to pay the penalty for no insurance next year.

Should be interesting how this plays out, if we even hear anything more about it.

“We are going to be gifted with a healthcare plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don’t which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it passed by a Congress that didn’t read it but exempted themselves FRom it and signed by a President who smokes with funding administered by a Treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefit takes effect by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that is broke.

I thought about it, but I’d feel like an accomplice to the fascist enemy.

Haven’t the sheeple got it yet _ when Big Government does anything, it messes it up.

And knowing what tax year it is is hardly rocket science!

The SC will - maybe - fix the changing subsidy issue. Or not. Even though Kennedy, normally the swing vote, wrote the angry dissenting opinion when Roberts caved, I have no faith in how he or Roberts will rule this time.

The problems with PPACA (ObamaCare) go deeper than just a common scriveners error that can be easily corrected.

There are deep unending flaws and illegalities with it, IMO. And, tortuously objecting to calling it a tax, then calling it a tax when making an even more tortuously strained equivocation when ruling on its validity (Roberts) is contrivance and concoction of the highest order. Roberts can ill afford the hits he got again, IMO.

Kennedy? Who knows? Sometimes I think he just likes to throw a monkey wrench in things just to keep everyone guessing. He apparently likes the pandering to him.
