Hardly sounds like a town being ‘fought for’. Sounds like its fully under ISIS control, and they’re comfortable enough to do hold public executions.

This is sheer, unadulterated evil. Terrorism has historically had a political objective. I see no objective here - These people just like killing others and inflicting pain and misery for its own sake.

In the unlikely event that the airbase nearby gets taken, I can only hope that the Marines understand that surrender to ISIS is not an option under any circumstances, on any scale.

Fighting ISIS is basically a “fight to the last man, and save the last bullet for yourself” situation.
Since Obama has been busy releasing terrorists, every terrorist attack belongs to the Democrat Party.

Wouldn’t the heat signature be enough to get picked up by IR drone or satellite, to develop a lock on their positions?

Nice to see that the troops our Marines are training there are so effective at stopping this kind of thing.
