Jeb Bush might use this to portray Paul as a fabricator. Bad move by Paul.

You’re right. But my point was they are bringing this up because he is a Republican, that's all.

Wow I find almost difficult to believe Duke accepted him without any degree.

Rand Paul’s claim would not upset an academic institution. Claiming a degree when you have none, or claiming a higher degree than you have is a bad sign regarding the person’s character. Claiming a lower degree that was mostly finished and only abandoned to successfully pursue a higher degree is a case of shorthand, not dishonesty.

It has been confirmed that he has no degree, correct?

It’s trivial. It’s not unique to have programs that combine getting a Masters degree with finishing the undergraduate degree.

I know right. I actually do have a Biology minor with a major in Education. However, if I were a Doctor, I would just say that and not even mention the Biology. Who cares anyway. Nobody wants to hear about his Bio degree when he has an MD.

Irrelevant........Does he have a Bio Degree or not. That is the only question that needs to be answered. If he doesn’t and is saying he does then he is in trouble regardless of who calls him out on it.

http://www.biography.com/people/rand-paul-588472#synopsis Paul attended Baylor University and then the Duke University Medical School, his father’s alma mater. After receiving a medical degree in 1988 . . .

http://www.randpaul2016.com/about/ Dr. Paul is the third of five children born to Carol and Ron Paul. He attended Baylor University and graduated from Duke Medical School in 1988.

http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=P000603 PAUL, Rand, (son of Ronald Ernest Paul), a Senator from Kentucky; born in Pittsburgh, Pa., January 7, 1963; attended Baylor University, 1981-1984; graduated Duke University, M.D., 1988; ophthalmologist; elected as a Republican to the United States Senate for the term ending January 3, 2017.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rand_Paul Paul attended Baylor University from fall 1981 to summer 1984 and was enrolled in the honors program . . . Paul left Baylor early, without completing either his Bachelor’s degree in biology or in English, when he was accepted into the Duke University School of Medicine. At the time, Duke did not require an undergraduate degree for admission to its graduate school. He earned a M.D. degree in 1988 and completed his residency in 1993.

I’d say it’s confirmed than Rand Paul’s only degree is an MD from Duke, ranked #8 in the country, which he entered early on merit. Apparently that is not enough for Barack Hussein Obama fans.

As a chemistry major, I hung around with a lot of pre-meds. I knew two pre-med students who got into medical school after three years of college. That was far from the norm, they had to be truly exceptional with perfect grades, a very high score on the mcat, and a great interview with the med school. After they earned their MD, the university then counted the medical degree time towards the remaining year of their undergrad studies and officially gave them their BS. I wonder if Baylor did the same?

Thanks for the posting, as it clarifies that an undergrad degree isn’t required in all cases to receive a higher degree.

My BIL attended NTSU (now UNT) for three years after HS and was then accepted into medical school at UT Houston. After four years there, he earned his DDS.

Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"
I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

Just because he is registered as a republican doesn't make him a Republican, we all know that. Rand is a Libertarian.
