My boss owns a building just a couple doors down from where that happened, and the building was there back when it happened. The actual garage where the massacre happened is gone, it is just a little field now next to a retirement home.
When we were remodeling the building, they found secret rooms in the basement that had been sealed up since the Prohibition era. Most likely it was a speakeasy run by Dion O’Bannon’s crew (the ones that controlled that neighborhood and the victims of the massacre). Interesting stuff.
Oh, he also owns another building that used to be a hotel during that period, and John Dillinger holed up there for a while. Real dive by modern standards, but it still has one of those cool metal cage elevators with the decorative ironwork. I also grew up one block away from where Dillinger got his plastic surgery done. That building is gone too, demolished when they built the Kennedy Expressway through that block.
I used to live on a farm in NJ that used to be a little resort. The owner rented out about 12 little cottages.
I knew an old guy and told him. “Resort!? Hell, that was a fancy speakeasy during Prohibition. I used to drive a cab then. Every Saturday night I would drive the mayor of Califon up there so he could have his booze and women!” (The old guy had also worked for Thomas Edison as a child!)
No one is going to know about this and no one is going to care.
Then it will actually be carried out, and everyone will be “shocked” for a few days, and will soon forget about it. The police will give additional protection to their Friday indoctrination centers, and there will be reports of “hate crimes” for someone saying “towelhead go home.”
Predictable.
The first thing that popped into my head was “coupla’ homosexuals”.
