Little League Baseball has stripped the U.S. championship from the Chicago-based Jackie Robinson West team and has suspended the coach for violating a rule prohibiting the use of players who live outside the geographic area that the team represents, it was announced Wednesday.

The Jackie Robinson West team, the first all-African-American team to win the championship, must vacate wins from the 2014 Little League Baseball International Tournament -- including its Great Lakes Regional and United States championships.

The Jackie Robinson West Little League team was ruled to have used players from outside its local area by recruiting players from neighboring districts. The team's manager, Darold Butler, has been suspended from Little League activity, and Illinois District 4 Administrator Michael Kelly has been removed from his position.

The organization found that the Jackie Robinson team used a falsified boundary map, and that team officials met with neighboring Little League districts in Illinois to claim players and build what amounts to a superteam...

It does pop up here in places where you might not expect it. I know of a church in which some people tried to fix the church council election by stuffing the ballot box.

I'd be real surprised if there weren't other Little League teams that had former residents, relatives, and friends playing outside their own district.

They're getting sloppy. They would've gotten away with it if they moved those young kids they stuffed the team with into the district.

They had to go outside the district to make sure no White kids made the team.

Here in little York, PA, the coach of the city high school basketball team was caught recruiting players outside the district in violation of PIAA rules. He was fired by the administration.

Since he’s black, the administration was accused of racism, even though the administrator who suggested that he be fired is black. The school board was taken over by members of the African-American Roundtable in the next election, promising to rehire him.

In the meantime, he went to a charter school, and was caught recruiting out of state, and was fired, and not rehired by the city school district. So he was hired by a local, exclusive, private school, and got caught recruiting again.

So, he is just like out new governor. He’s recruiting from out side the State for positions.

Looks like the recruiting standards for athletic coaches of the charter schools and private schools aren’t any better than the public schools in your area of PA. That’s disappointing news.

If they play in the PIAA, they have to abide by its rules.

Well, that settles it then. This coach has the same super racial exemption to the rules as the one POTUS #44 has.

Oh, c'mon! Haven't been around LLB much, I see.

Once you're in the Williamsport tournament, you need an extra coach just to check the birth certificates to catch the 14 year olds, and the school transcripts to catch the out-of-district players.

Sorry it happened to these guys, but it happens all the time.

Too bad they didn’t do their due diligence.
