Just when I thought Democrat elected lawmakers in Washington, DC, the District of Corruption, couldn’t do anything stupider, they surprise me. Celebrating black history month, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced February 4, 2015 that she appointed Rahman Branch to be the city’s first Director of the Mayor's Office on African American Affairs. It’s a full-time paid job, probably in the six figures, to...wait for it) address the needs of the shrinking black community in DC.
Never mind, DC is no longer "Chocolate City" where blacks accounted for 70.3 percent of the population in 1980 and today only make up a little less than 50 percent. Why do district taxpayers need to pay another black person to address the needs of black residents in DC?
Isn’t that why Bowser was elected, because she was black? It wasn’t because she was the most qualified candidate.
Let’s face it: David Catania was a more qualified candidate. As a Council member, Catania actually spearheaded numerous education reform efforts in DC, something Bowser claimed was her passion. Yet Bowser never led education reform efforts; she only supported and followed Catania’s. She did advocate for students to be able to ride city buses for free. Catania drafted a detailed economic plan for the city. I didn’t see one from Bowser.
Instead, as a DC Council member, she took credit for business development projects in her Ward 4, like the new Wal-Mart store on Georgia Avenue, NW, which she had nothing to do with. The abolished National Capitol Revitalization Corporation or the DC’s Office of Economic Development initiated that along with other projects.
But Catania was white and the vast majority of black voters in the District will never vote for a white mayor. It’s the truth. No white mayor has been elected to govern DC since 1967. White candidates need not apply. Why? The majority of black DC residents are registered Democrats, who would rather cast an uninformed vote for a black candidate's skin color than one for a white candidate’s qualifications.
“We see income gaps growing we’re not satisfied with how fast we’re closing educational gaps, and we know that we have to invest in good jobs and affordable housing, said Bowser, explaining why she hired Branch to be the babysit blacks in DC.
Like all the other black mayors before her . . . being black herself, Bowser should be able to connect with “her people” and address the economic disparity between blacks and whites in the city. Why did she need to hire Branch to direct the new office on black affairs? How does Branch’s resume of being a black man and the former principal of Ballou High School in Southeast Washington, qualify him to address the concerns of blacks anymore than our newly elected black mayor?
Branch’s yearly salary will probably be at least $100,000. Acting Director of the Latino Affairs Office Jakeline Reyes Yanes earns $105,000 a year. Acting Director of the Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs Office, David Do, earns $99,000 a year. There’s also a Director of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender Office and a Director of the African Affairs Office--not to be confused with the new African American office. In the interest of fairness and reality, it seems Bowser needs to create a Director of Caucasian Affairs because that’s the growing demographic in DC
I thought the Mayor’s job was to manage the city and address all the needs of ALL residents. Isn’t it the mayor’s job to ensure all residents--regardless of color, creed or religion-- a quality of life and access to opportunity? (Oops, I forgot that’s a Republican platform that a rising tide lifts all boats.)
“There’s a need for this kind of office because the growth of DC and the expansion of DC and making sure every resident of DC plays a part in that is really what the community has requested,” said Branch justifying is new position.
As a resident of DC, I don’t remember the mayor asking black residents if we “needed a Director of black affairs” to tell us what to think and help address our needs. The last thing DC or any predominately black city needs is more black ambassadors doing nothing to “help the so called black community.” So called “black advocates,” working on behalf of blacks, tend to help themselves to a paycheck either legally or illegally. Many of DC’s former convicted black councilmembers have shown us that.
When will liberals like Bowser stop talking down to her black people like we’re a monolithic group of dummies? More importantly, when will Bowser stop wasting hard-earned taxpayer dollars on minority outreach offices doing the job we hired her to do?
Never.

The very same people who complain about skin color vote for guess it - public officials on nothing more than their skin color.
Black racist voters sole reason for voting for a black candidate is their skin color. That seems to be the sole qualification for public office in minority-majority districts around the country.
They can shove it.

I am suffering from complete negro fatigue. I am tired of 12% of the population (most of whom fall toward the left side of the I.Q. bell curve and commit about 50% of the crimes) and their outsized influence on this country, laws and culture.
I simply just don’t want anything to do with them anymore. They are not my tribe. They do not share my values, goals, culture or interests. I will not watch their gangster behavior, listen to their gangster music, or watch their thuggish behavior in sports.
I am just done with them. Leave me alone and I will return the favor.

Here’s the simple truth....every year (for at least a decade now)...the black ratio of population has declined in DC. The minute they put the Nationals Park over in the southeast side and allowed upscale condos, with more police protection...folks came in and branched out. Old houses on the northeast side of town....neighborhood by neighborhood...are being bought out by rich yuppie types who take the old house...remodel, and turn it into a better neighborhood.
With more yuppie white guys/gals....you have fewer kids around....so the school system which was the crown jewel of jobs for the black community in DC...are shrinking.
It’s only a matter of about fifteen years when the ratio number will be around sixty-percent white and a position or two on the city council go to Republicans. By 2030, I’d take a guess that the city will elect their first Republican mayor in years.
Go talk to the black community on property taxes in the city...they are becoming disenchanted over cost of living and lack of police protection in the older and lesser neighborhoods.

In the last twenty years since I left the Democrat Party, I've lost a few close friendships with people who were white. They didn't come out and say it, but after I started ripping Bill Clinton, my "friends" didn't seem to want to be around me.
If some person of whatever color shares my values or wants to be a friend despite political differences, that's fine by me. But I won't beg anybody to be my friend. However, I also won't turn down a friendship with a person of another color if the opportunity arises. It probably won't (there's a tiny minority population where I live), but I won't turn it down if it happens.
They will leave you alone...but you must pay pay pay!
There are so many examples of fake jobs like this just to give certain black people a reason to get out of bed in the morning; so much affirmative action just seems like a thinly-veiled attempt to stop unskilled young blacks from breeding (by pretending they have some value in this economy).
I’ve walked away from any white libs that I had known (generally public school teachers or anti-male divorcees); we have nothing to talk about, and will never see eye to eye.
On the flip side, I can easily relate to some African blacks at my workplace; they are family-oriented, hardworking people who are like Irish people with a deep tan. They even love soccer!
They pay a steep price in murders and other crime for voting based on race; the larger community they shun with race-based politics in turn ignores them as they wail over the bodies of their young people gunned down in our urban war zones...
I thought she wanted to be mayor of/for all the citizens of DC. Guess not.
Jeb Bush gets knocked on here for advocating amnesty but he understands the racial math far better than the Democrats and many whites do.
Illegal immigrants who become citizens move up the social ladder and assimilate into American culture. That especially evident with Hispanics. They work hard, move ahead and want to act and “be white.”
Blacks are exactly the opposite. They keep to themselves, reject white values and hate this country. For them being American is not an aspiration; its an impediment. Its like they live on another planet. Obama’s election did nothing to change it.
Now that did brings to the racial math. Obama and Democrats sprung for amnesty because they dream of a black-brown coalition that will keep the Democrats in power forever, with both blacks and browns sharing the spoils, with an impotent white minority on the outside looking in.
So far so good in theory. The past election revealed things haven’t worked out the way. Remember what I wrote about Hispanics wanting to be like white America? Now if Hispanics continue to grow in numbers and overtake blacks, the real world racial math in reality means blacks don’t get any slice of the pie. They and the Democrats they vote for are doomed to be a minority party. Which is already happening in the South and the rest of the country is slowing but inexorably following suit.
In betraying blacks with amnesty, the Democratic Party is digging its own political grave. Obama and Democratic leaders think Hispanics hate America as much as blacks do. But what if the former don’t want to play the “race card” script? Jeb Bush sees a great opportunity here to lock the Hispanic vote up for the GOP. In the short run, whites won’t have it as good. But there won’t be a need to pander to hostile blacks and America will be strengthened in the long run by becoming a more patriotic, hard-working country.
It may not be a strategy conservatives like very much. But liberals whose obsession is exploiting racial grievances may not like where they really end up, after its too late for them to do anything about it. Their playing wedge politics is a classic illustration of the old saw, “be careful what you wish for; you just might get it.” And with white liberals an endangered species, there is little use for the black Democrat or for that matter, any kind of Democrat at all in the country. The main victim of playing the race card are not the supposedly demonized Republicans but the Democrats, who by half, are far too clever for their own good.
Now who’s smarter when it comes to seeing how the racial math of the future works out? Barack Obama or Jeb Bush? The smart money is on Bush.
She’s already helped her community; she’s created a job.
Only this time its the 'right' people doing it.
Interesting analysis. But I’m not very sure on the Republican long term prediction. Aren’t most of these upscale whites Democrats dependent on govt and govt contractors for their employment?
