Well, it is for the children. Right? Routine mental health screening doesn't sound like a good plan to me. I heard on somebody's radio show the other day that college freshmen are the most "unsettled/depressed" in the past 30 years. So, does this lead to removal of firearms from folks houses? Does any form of mental "disability" lead to removal? Is there anyone knocking on mark kelly-giffords and gabby's front door? No? Are they "special"?

—while I agree that the removal of “guns” is probably a long term objective, my cynical suspicion is that the aim here is to immediately increase the need for more government-paid “mental heath care specialists” on every school district payroll-—

School certainly depressed me and caused anxiety. It was part of the reason I left home right after I turned fifteen. I would have taken my shotgun with me, but figured I wouldn’t be able to catch a ride.
