DARLENE Hider had a flight experience on Monday that she’ll never forget — for all the wrong reasons....
The next thing she knew, a woman sitting in front asked her to “control her kids”.
...“I felt as if she was attacking me because she said it in such a mean way,” Hider said.
“I felt as if I wanted to defend myself but I couldn’t because of the Islamophobia going on. It’s enough that I wear a scarf. We have to prove ourselves every day to people and it gets tiring. I’m not a terrorist. I’m American. I was born and raised here.”

I would also add that none of them were beheaded.
If they’re tired of proving themselves every day, imagine how we feel watching them fail.

When we take our children on an airplane, they know how to behave, so if her kids were acting up and someone asked her to control her kids, it is discrimination now. What BS.
She’s told to get to back of plane. Had she been American woman the plane would have stopped and she and her brats would have been thrown off.
Her kid was crying and some grump rudely told her to hush the kid or move to the back.
It was the kid and a grump—not her headscarf.

There are those that make it a pastime of hunting some infraction in order to prove somebody is against their religion, color or whatever.
Sometimes it is what it is and nothing more.
Could have been worse. She could have been burned alive in a cage.
Flaying back in Royal class on Jordanian Airlines multiple times...the men would always be up front in that class...also a few women...and all the WOMEN and CHILDREN - plus the lesser of the bunch of so called men were in coach...I went back there once to see why there was so much noise and to take a piss...since the first class toilets were occupied...and it was a total mess in there...they actually tried to stand up on the toilet seat and crap...urine was everywhere....kids were crawling over seats...all the while these so-called mothers sat there in their full Darth Vader outfit saying nothing....it’s not Islamophobia - it’s a culture that thinks they are so special no one can say anything to them polite or rude when it comes to how there glorious kids are acting...
You think that’s bad lady... try saying “hi” to a New Yorker !

I travel quite a bit in my business and, personally, I think tickets for children, and parents of children, should be triple the price of an adult traveling alone.
