Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker leads a host of potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders in a new poll in the early presidential state of New Hampshire out Wednesday.
Mr. Walker leads the NH1 automated poll, conducted Feb. 2-3, with 21.2 percent of the vote, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 14.4 percent, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 8.3 percent, and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 8.2 percent...........

The Wisconsin Idea has long been the core philosophy of the UW System, driving campuses to extend their reach into communities and "every family in the state."
That mission also is linked to Wisconsin public radio and TV. The Walker budget cuts $5 million in state funding from the public service media. State funding makes up about 10% of the budget for their programming operations, according to a spokesman for the governor.
"I'm nearly speechless," said Mark Schwartz, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee distinguished professor of geography and chairman of the faculty University Committee. "The budget cuts are one thing. This aims at the heart of the Wisconsin Idea, and smashes it."..............
I think Cruz out did him in the Iowa thingy, though Walker did a good job too.

And this a bad thing because??
"Republican Gov. Scott Walker's budget would prohibit the state Department of Natural Resources from purchasing any land through its stewardship program until at least 2028 if the program still exists then.
The budget the governor released Tuesday would place a moratorium on stewardship land acquisitions. It would last until the DNR's debt service on purchases that already have been made drops to $1 for every $8 spent since the program's inception in 1989. The program won't reach that ratio until 2028. The moratorium is expected to save the state $13 million in debt by then, according to Walker's budget.
The stewardship program is set to expire in mid-2020. Legislators could vote to renew it, but the program still couldn't buy any land until it meets that debt ratio.
The stewardship program authorizes the DNR to borrow money for land purchases, boat landing repair, developing DNR property and grants to conservancy organizations and local governments for land acquisition. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau has estimated the DNR has spent $84.7 million on stewardship land purchases from mid-2000 to mid-2014. The state spent $87 million paying off stewardship program debt in fiscal year 2013-14 alone, with $73.5 million of that coming from tax dollars, according to the fiscal bureau......." [Walker] Budget would end Wisconsin DNR land purchases until 2028
Let’s see what SC thinks about this Romney Clone.
I know this is an early poll, but it has some importance.
Walker is BEATING Bush. By 7%. That is significant.
1. Ted Cruz has to get a lot more serious about his campaign. I’d back him in the second after he formally announces. He can do a LOT better than 3.3%
2. This is going to make the GOPe look at who they will commit to. Bush is a real loser. But we’ll see how Peter King, McConnell and their ilk react to Scott Walker...attack, support or wait-n-see.
We're all rootin' for ya!
C'mon, Mark...take it all the way to full-on mute!
“”I’m nearly speechless,” said Mark Schwartz, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee distinguished professor of geography and chairman of the faculty University Committee.”
Here’s the first guy who should be fired from the faculty. “Distinguished” My A$$. Just another trashy Secular Progressive JINO who hates his own people.
Cruz has a big problem when he only gets 3.3 percent in a state poll. I don’t know what he needs to do to gain some exposure but either he is not known or he is known and perhaps would rather not want him as President. I don’t know which it is. Perhaps a speech explaining that he does have some sort of executive experience. I think that is what is hurting him, lack of executive experience.
Walker is doing excellent. He will make the entire country proud.
Here’s my question
What’s he going to do to stand up to the establishment. Or, better yet, what has he already done to prove himself to not be another establishment republican?
We’ve seen in the last 2 elections establishment republicans lose.
Lets see what SC thinks about this Reagan Clone.
Rove was on O’Reilly last night carrying water for his benefactor, JEB. Rove used his whiteboard to discount Walker at this point. Rove is a tool of the Bush machine and passing him off on FOX as impartial is dishonest.
“Walker is BEATING Bush. By 7%. That is significant.”
Walker has a track record as an ADMINISTRATOR, to which none of the current crop of Senators can point. Walker is doing the kinds of things that will have a lasting impact. The idea of writing into law that the DWR can’t buy any more anything until their debt service to acquisitions achieves a certain ratio is masterful. Wisconsinites should be on their knees every day thanking him for his good works.
Please clarify. “SC” is what exactly? South Carolina? Supreme Court?
So the question is what does SC mean to you?
#YouGetIt
“Lets see what SC thinks about this Romney Clone.”
You’ve got your R’s mixed up. You should have said Reagan.
Are you just pi$$ed off because Cruz is behind in this poll?
The Wisconsin Idea? It sounds like a compulsory, state funded, communist and democrat party over reach program and propaganda machine.
