The reality is what you said is not the point, but just a point, one of many. Throw in adjustments for population sizes, underreported black on black crime, stitches for snitches and the like, and we're not talking about factors of 10s, but probably even 10s of 10s.

I’m almost to the point where I support, for big cities anyways, getting the arrest and prosecution numbers in synch with the population demographic ones.

Even if it means applying demographic quotas for arrests and prosecutions.

Then let the chips fall where they may.
