Thanks to the Washington Post, we have new entry in what is surely the fastest-growing industry in academia: bogus studies that purport to show there is no difference between black and white rates of crime. The only difference comes from the big bad racist police, prosecutors, parole officers, judges, juries, reporters, editors and others who are also in on The Big Fix and relentlessly pick on black people, For No Reason What So Ever.
Even in black cities with black mayors, black police chiefs and black prosecutors -- like Washington.
This latest headline from the Post tells a shocking story: “Black teens who commit a few crimes go to jail as often as white teens who commit dozens.”
Or it would be shocking if it were true. But it is not.
This headline, of course, flies in the face of numbers that show violent crime for black people is astronomically out of proportion: 5, 10, 50 times greater than crime rates for white people. Throw Asians into the mix, and you can multiply that by 10 times more.
Turns out, they are also in on The Big Fix: “Although there were negligible differences among the racial groups in how frequently boys committed crimes, white boys were less likely to spend time in facility than black and Hispanic boys who said they'd committed crimes just as frequently, as shown in the chart above,” quoth the Post.
“Negligible differences among the racial groups?” What? Where did that come from?
That gem of disbelief is contained in a study from Tia Stevens Andersen of the University of South Carolina and Michigan State University's Merry Morash.

Somebody show me an incident where Asian, white or even Hispanic youth are playing the knockout game on someone not of their race just for “fun.” It seems to be unique to only one race. Why do you suppose that is?
I caught an interesting speech at Hillsdale college the other day by Jason Riley from the Wall St Journal. He’s not as critical of Obama as I would be but he does point a finger at the “black community” as a source of their problems.
He starts speaking about 11 minutes in.

He says 98% of black shooting deaths DON’T involve police and that police are more than 6 times as likely to be shot by black perps.
There are two things I harp on around here. 1) The Republican Party is broken and conservatives should give up and start a new party. 2) Science is socially situated and socially motivated. If we would get those two things straight, our movement would gain ground.
This study was probably done according to rigorous methodology that’s designed to account for many variables, but the outcome was never in question. The researchers, in their leftist universities, with their utopian goals, within a leftist zeitgeist, and hard left colleagues sought to prove white privilege. Success! Now more research is going to follow and this will be enshrined as a paradigm in social science. Paradigms are nearly impossible to debunk.
There are, likewise, paradigms in “Hard Sciences” (may they live forever). Vaccinations, GMO’s are safe, Evolution, Global Warming, Fossil Fuel, most medicine, are all paradigms that are impossible to refute because the whole culture of science, funding, and population are completely sold on them.

Liberals know things that the rest of us find hard to believe. For example: liberals know that there are an infinite number of correct answers to the question, "2 + 2 = ?". In fact, to them the only incorrect answer is "4". They know this because they shopped around until they found a judge who confirmed this and then they made it a law based on a consensus of Democrat legislators.
Note that the actual type and severity of crimes is completely glossed over, as if all "crimes" were equally serious.

Well there are numbers and there are other numbers....people tend to believe the ones they prefer.
“The study compared results from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth in 1980 and 2000, which is the latest date for which detailed data are available. Surveyors asked youth whether they had stolen, destroyed property, attacked someone or sold drugs in the last year. Of the boys between the ages of 15 and 18 surveyed in 1980, 59 percent said they had, compared to just 28 percent of similarly aged boys surveyed in 2000.
“The later generation, however, was just as likely to have been charged with a crime, and if they were charged, they were dealt with more severely. Among those charged with a crime in the earlier cohort, 35 percent were diverted out of court and 49 percent were convicted, and of those boys, just a quarter were placed in a correctional facility. Of those surveyed in 2000, only 13 percent were diverted. Sixty-one percent were convicted, and 38 percent of those were imprisoned.”
And from earlier in the WaPo piece:

Although the overall number of cases in juvenile court has declined sharply since 2008, blacks still account for a third of cases in juvenile court, far more than their share of the population.”

Also, just look at gun ownership. Most white exurban and rural neighborhoods are gun saturated, but there is almost none of the mayhem that goes on in places, like Chicago, with far higher black populations and lower rates of gun ownership.
How has that worked out? I think you’ll find that conservatives will assimilate much quicker than they take over. The party is the way it is because they like it that way. They’re fully in charge.
I was recently searching Amazon and Ebay for goggles and kept typing “googles”. It was annoying. I did it every time.
So even though he doesn't own a gun and doesn't want me to own a gun, he still benefits from all his neighbors who do.
And the point is that we whites have far more in the capacity for mass mayhem, given our heavy ownership of firearms than urban blacks, but don’t do it.
