The Italian government in the state of Northern Lombardy has made a new law: no new mosques will be allowed to be built.
According to the report:
Milan, January 22 – A regional government commission in the northern Lombardy region on Thursday approved a bill that would limit the opening of new, non-Catholic places of worship. The so-called anti-mosque bill submitted by the regionalist, anti-immigrant and anti-euro Northern League party of Governor Roberto Maroni would also impose security cameras in places of worship.
The bill has sparked opposition from the center left and from civil liberties advocates. The bill specifically refers to religions that have conventions with the Italian State and their municipality – which Islam does not – and that have a "diffused, organized and consistent presence."
Critics say this would disproportionately affect religions that do have conventions with Italy, such as the Jewish faith and the evangelical Christian church. It will go to the floor of the regional assembly on Tuesday, sources said.
This is a first step to the restoration of Christendom. God willing, Italy will pursue this to the fullest and go back to being a fully Christian government. But I know that that will take much time, after enough people are killed by Muslims, then they will realize that the only solution to prevent Islamic and modernists evils, is Christendom.
Muslims are trying to take over our American colleges and universities and to use Christian Churches for their 5 times call to prayer on campuses.
One university was going to permit them but were stopped by their donators. We must send them back to the Middle East or Africa. We must let no more Muslim into this country no matter what they say they're fleeing. They use this has a pretense to get into our country. We must start closing Mosques were there is questionable activities going on. No Muslim can be trusted. They would kill us all if they could. Italy is on the right road to stopping this devil cult. They are not a religion but a gang of killers. Their founder was a murderer, a child abuser, and a liar.

yes but where it is going is to ban all religion, out of an idea of fairness and Orwellian conformity. “Throwing the baby out w/the bathwater” type of thing I do believe. “We’re past all that religious stuff and besides it divides people”. Watch for it.

Then it isn’t a “New Law” yet. The headline is a lie.
Islam hides behind religion, but the danger is political. I realize that crossing the religion/non-religion line, deciding what’s religious and what’s not, is tricky, but we have a big problem.
If you have a better way to control it, let’s hear it.
Personally, I’d settle for bugging all mosques (and to be fair, synagogues and churches, although those tapes would be boring), stopping immigration from areas hostile to the West, and much stricter immigration enforcement... to start.
Islam is not a religion and shouldn’t be protected under the 1st Amendment.
This is a start. The next proof will be elections where the Right Wingers come to power, all over Italy and Europe. They MUST embrace the Right if they are to survive...
I would go further and start sending the Moslems back to where they came from. Stop accepting Moslem refugees.

The political nature of Islam has to be downgraded, even at the cost of upfront turmoil. If they won’t assimilate, who needs ‘em?
If Europe does go Right, it will be ugly. But, they’ll have to man up—there’s a lot more Muslims than Jews in Europe. It was easy to pick on the Jews (as well as stupid). Muslims won’t calm down without an uproar first.
As much as it may sound nice, it will likely come to bite people of other faiths, such as if they feel it applies to Christians in the future. If our government did this to Muslims, Christians would likely be next.

What about not being allowed to occupy Churches or "recommission" them"? I've heard this is a problem all across Europe, as Church goers abandon Churches, muslims come in to fill in the void.

Not so good. This is not "Italy," it is a region of Italy, roughly akin to a state or region in the US, with its own legislature. The post is inaccurate. The bill has not been enacted, it is under debate.
Good: since it is known that aggressive imams use mosques to preach violence, CCTV surveillance is a great idea.

..... and worldwide, the "religion" has over 1.5 billion adherents in one form or another, a fervent supporter in the White House, and there are now more Muslims in the United States than the number of Jews.
