Arrested 4 days later(!) for assault because of crazy things a drunk(driving) woman said, and then immediately recanted. Think about this the next time you read a police report.

When national publicity comes down hard on people, their lives are altered forever. I pity the poor man, because he will find it almost impossible to make a life for himself now without having that case hanging around his neck. His name and reputation, will never be the same in the eye of the media or the public.
The choices and decisions in your life can lead you down paths you never wanted to go. There, but for the grace of God, go many people.
He could learn to stay away from a certain type of woman. Or how to choose his women friends more carefully. Sounds like he’s careened from one awful relationship to the next.
Actually, sounds like his libido is not as smart as those who reject him.
It is not him picking bad women, it is that only bad women want him, the rest are staying away.

Unfortunately, true. He’s damaged goods and initially thru no fault of his own.
It might do him some good to just get away as far as he can from FL, go celibate for a while till he can start to make some good decisions. He’s awfully young yet to have gone thru what he has. But we’ve seen people come back from worse, so maybe he can be salvaged yet. But he’s not gonna get there repeating his mistakes.
So it was a “mistake” to shoot a thug beating your head into the pavement? Well, guess what? If I’m ever in that same type of situation, I’ll make the same mistake. Count on it.
Yeah, he made the “choice” and “decision” not to die that night at the hands of a young criminal. He should’ve just let Trayvon keep pounding his head into the concrete until he was dead, if I’m hearing you right?

He should go spend some time with his mom’s relatives in Peru.
