Information Leak: President Obama says he wants to improve cybersecurity and privacy. If he actually cared about them, he'd shut down healthcare.gov, which lets dozens of companies collect data on unwitting users.
In a speech meant to preview part of his State of the Union address, Obama said: "As Americans, we shouldn't have to forfeit our basic privacy when we go online to do our business." Nice sentiment. But it's not being upheld by his own ObamaCare website.
As the AP reported on Tuesday, Healthcare.gov has at least 50 third-party companies that have "embedded connections" to the site, which means they can track certain data you enter and follow you after you leave.
Within 10 minutes of being on the site, AP found "dozens of websites were accessed behind the scenes," including Google Analytics, Twitter, Facebook and online ad companies. AP also discovered that "certain personal details including age, income and whether you smoke were being passed along, likely without your knowledge, to advertising and Web analytics sites."

This is an area where Tea Party conservatives and the anti-capitalist far left should be able to agree. No private business should have access to any data from a government web site where Americans are required to disclose personal information. I’d like to see the GOP work to shut down this sort of behavior, even if we have to team up with a Native American like Elizabeth Warren to do it.
