Bruni asks, "Would we be content to let a Muslim store owner who believes that a woman should always cover her hair refuse service to women who do not? Or a Mormon hairdresser who spurns coffee to turn away clients who saunter in with frappuccinos?"

Bad analogies.

No one is forcing the Muslim to uncover her own hair. Nor does she have to endorse uncovered hair in order to wait on the woman in her shop.

No one is forcing the Mormon to drink coffee. Nor does she have to endorse coffee drinking as a requirement of doing the coffee drinker's hair.

The gays came into the bakery and the photographers shops and insisted that they PARTICIPATE in the behavior forbidden to the shop owner.

The NYT agrees with Hitler.

But, not with Christ.

While Bruni has kind words for "people of faith," he wants that faith kept in the closet, or in his words, in "our pews, homes, and hearts"—but not outside our pews, homes and hearts.

Should I pray for him to keep wishing?

So says an influential New York Times journalist.

Influential where? The NYT caters to illiterates, so, if not for sites like this, no one would ever read him. I doubt he can influence most of this site's readers.

Haven’t met a queer in years. There aren’t enough them to justify all the attention they get.

Meanwhile the homosexual-activist agenda demands that homosexuals come out of the closet.

In other words, "Keep your religion in the closet."

No.

I believe that a journalist has the same rights of free speech and religion that I do.

But I believe that he only has them while he's in his closet at home.

But the pious photographer who was forced to shoot a gay marriage ceremony would be having his religious sensibilities offended. Now, the NYTimes wouldn’t want to have anyone’s religious sensibilities offended, would they? (Reason they gave for not publishing the CharlieHebdo cartoons.)

How about this: I’ll keep my religion in the closet, but first you keep your politics in the closet.

FWIW, xzins a good guy, posting how absurd some people have become.

Sounds like we need a “religious pride” march to stand up to this bigotry.

Let’s all march arm in arm down the street outside his office chanting: “We’re here, we’re religious, we’re not going anywhere!”
