Two consecutive mid-term landslides down the drain. Taught the Stupid, Dumb-Ass Party nothing.

...expectations have grown among many Republicans that they can force their will on Democrats and break through years of partisan gridlock in Congress.

Funny how we never hear about Democrats lowering their expectations when it comes to imposing their will on Republicans.....

No more liberal compromise. Better to not pass that to pass more liberal legislation.

Compromise is how you lose.

Congressional Republican leaders tried to hammer home a simple message to restive conservatives at a policy retreat this week: Have your say, but be prepared to make some compromises if you want to pass substantial legislation.

Don't pass any legislation, then.

We already have way too many laws. We don't need any more.

Shove it Boehner. Compromise = give the Dems “some” of what they want. Of course the Dems know they do this so they ask for a lot and settle for more than they’d normally get.

Dems demand we raise some program budget by 15% and the squishy Republicans “compromise” by giving them 8% (while the Dems hammer them for hating children, elderly, etc.) when a good representative would challenge the program itself.

I am willing to compromise. I want FedGov slashed by 50% (literally, I would cut half the spending immediately). I would be happy with a compromise that cut 25% and comfortable with a compromise that only cut 10% the first year. There is lots of room for real compromise. But if RINOs are saying we need to increase the size of FedGov 7% this year, because that’s better than 10%, no, thank you.

I am willing to compromise on the Second Amendment. I think all firearms laws at the federal, state, and local levels should be repealed immediately. If they want to start with just NFA, repealing the restrictions on suppressors in the first year, and repealing cosmetic restrictions on “scary black guns” and magazine size limits, and then move on to other unconstitutional laws, I’m okay with compromising on a gradual approach.

That’s not what liberals mean by “compromise”? They mean we give up even more, but at a slower rate than they would prefer? That’s what I thought.

In other words, socialism will be allowed to march on...only slower for the time being.

I don’t think that word (compromise) means what they say it means.

I’ve got to give the DemocRATS credit for one thing. They’ll never “compromise” with the GOOBs over anything. NEVER! Even the female ‘RATS stand their ground and never “compromise”. Unfortunately, the GOOBs will bend over for the DemocRATS in a heartbeat.

Damn, just when I thought I could retire this one, Boehner's at it again. Will the voters of his district PULLEASE send him back to something he's up to: Tending bar.

Dear GOPe: Do somethings substantial towards returning to rule of law and support the Constitution or be prepared to hit the bricks in 2016.

Prudence may be the cardinal virtue, as Bush the Elder liked to say (over-and-over), but as a conservative stated:
“Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue”.

We didn’t give the GOP both houses so they could light farts with the Democrats after those great ham & navy bean cafeteria lunches.
Use that power, boys—or lose it.

By passing a bill stopping Obama’s amnesty they’re admitting he has the power to do what he did. He does not! What they should be doing is telling the American people they don’t have to follow illegal laws and telling the states to seal the border.
