House Republicans voted Wednesday to overturn President Obama's immigration actions from last November -- and to unravel a directive from 2012 affecting immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children -- sending the bill to the Senate where it faces an uncertain fate.
The House voted 236-191 to approve the legislation, which funds the Homeland Security Department through the rest of the budget year to the tune of $40 billion. But as part of that bill, Republicans added provisions to gut the president's immigration directives.
Despite deep Democratic opposition, the House voted 237-190 on an amendment to undo executive actions Obama announced in November that provide temporary deportation relief, and offer work permits, to some 4 million illegal immigrants.
Another amendment would cancel Obama's 2012 policy that's granted work permits and stays of deportation to more than 600,000 immigrants who arrived in the U.S. illegally as kids. That measure passed more narrowly, 218-209, as more than two dozen Republicans joined Democrats in opposition.
Republicans say Obama's moves amounted to an unconstitutional overreach that must be stopped.

UNRAVEL OBAMA...PLEASE!!!
Provision to be pulled in the senate.
Same old traitorous same old. Boner knows nothing will happen. Wait until he tries to pass amnesty, by calling it anti-amnesty. Makes me laugh.
Don’t get hopes up.
Rest assured that POS Bonehead has means by which Dorkbama will win whilst he (the POS) will appear to have made a good effort.
Encourage more bartenders. (Read this as you may.)
There's no uncertainty about it. The Democrats are probably drawing straws to see who gets to filibuster it.
With GOP senators like Rubio working or more H1 visas for tech workers and leadership in the House working on new immigration “reform” this vote is all for show.
In Conference, the funding will remain and the prohibitions will be removed. They needed to make it non-severable to actually mean anything.
About time. Now all members of Congress can show whether they represent the American people, whether they respect the Constitution, or if they simply bow to Obama. Time for Cruz and others to step up and take the reins of leadership from McConnell and Boehner.
As I write this, while I want the nightmare DREAM executive action reversed, maybe it was thrown in as the win for Obama and Democrats to overturn, while they accept the other reversals? Not a great outcome as I’d prefer to see anyone in the US illegally given first the opportunity to self-deport, else given the permanent boot.
It’s hard to trust anything Boehner does at this point. He should have stepped aside when a majority of his base did not want him back as speaker. How can he govern effectively when a majority of his base does not want him or trust him?
Now, we’re supposed to believe him about stopping 0bama’s illegal amnesty when he gave 0bama the funding for it? These idiots think Americans can be had just like Gruber thought. The whole Washington DC area needs an enema.

People that support this farce deserve everything that happens to them.
I’m waiting for this charade to play out before de-registering as a Republican.
Which is why they don’t. So the dog and pony show can continue. I am truly amazed every day how so many people can utterly lie to themselves time after time about these people. They get excited that the GOP is ‘fighting back’ and never stop to think this scenario has played out dozens of times before, complete with the same excuses from the GOP, the same excuses from their dullard supporters and the same benefit to the Dems/liberals.
All at the expense of their country.

100% con job
