obamacare

Posted on 01/12/2015 6:24:36 AM PST by weezel

My brother has had problem after problem with obamacare, and every time he calls to talk to someone to try to fix it, they cannot open his account. For this reason, they have set up a new account probably 6 times. What I wonder is, does this happen to other folks, and is my brother and all these others being counted multiple times as having obamacare? Is that where the administrations claimed numbers come from?

Don’t know in the case of your brother, but I think you can assume dishonesty is the default setting for everything that this Administration does.

I have a friend that is having the same problem. He’s the only person I know who has even tried to sign up. Never got coverage and now he’s complaining of having to pay a fine.

Yes, it DOES happen to other people. Short summary below, but watch the video to see what they were going through (signed up, told not on, fixed that & told on, then told not on, etc.)

*************************************

Rep. Cynthia Lummis’ husband died of heart attack. Not because of ObamaCARE, but because of problems thanks to ObamaCARE. Lummis and her husband had thought they had ObamaCARE coverage before her husband had started getting chest pains that eventually lead to him dying in his sleep from a massive heart attack. He didn’t end up getting one test that could have saved his life because the couple was told that they don’t have ObamaCARE even though they went through all the procedures and signed up for it.

Regarding this question, read THIS (Bob Lazewski is a reputable source):

My solution was simple. I have not had health care insurance since Jan 1, 2014. No legal hassles, I pay the doctor direct for any services ($50 total last year) and I get to live my life.

Americans have been conditioned to believe God created our bodies to fail constantly. Thing is, that is not true. People eat poorly, over medicate and otherwise abuse the body and then think they need health insurance just to stay “normal”.

It’s a scam. You really don’t need health insurance that bad with one exception: Just as life insurance companies are betting you are going to live, and they are usually right (which is why they turn a profit), health insurance companies are betting your human body will do just fine, and you are betting you are sickly.

Nope. Two things: I never get a refund and I believe I kept my “taxable” income low enough that the cost of health care exceeds the 8% of income threshhold.

But there is a third reason. I think worrying about the 2016 or 2017 consequences of not complying with Obamacare is like being a german in 1944 germany worrying about the consequences, in 1947 of not complying with Hitler’s edicts.

If you get my drift - and my tag line.

How did you get by with a $50 payment to the doctor in one year? Office call here (Nebr.)is at least 3 times that.

Repair a crown on one of my teeth: $25
One chiropractor visit for my wife: $25

Also, things are a LOT cheaper here in rural KY than they were where we used to live, Seattle. Oddly, when it comes to doctors, they seem to be just as good here.

Except now, it is against the law not to have insurance.Personally I think people should have catastrophic health insurance and just their bill themselves when they go in for a cold or something trivial like every one goes to doctors for now days. That way should they get cancer or something they would be covered.

Me too. One of the things that cracked me up before this even passed congress was that nobody seemed to understand that if the government says you must acquire a thing, it will then necessitate what the government considers “compliance” with their edict. And that is a bigger can of worms (by several orders of magnitude) than simply saying you have to have a thing.

It’s why so many people are ticked. They had insurance, and he said they could keep it. Except it didn’t meet the FedGov’s minimum requirements. And here is the comical part: It may have been BETTER, but missed a piece. e.g. does a 60 year old couple need pregnancy insurance or free birth control? Why would they even get such insurance?
