US prosecutors have sent Poland extradition request for Polish-born filmmaker Roman Polanski, who is wanted in the United States on charges from 1977 for unlawful sex with a minor, an official said Wednesday.

Poland has received the request because Polanski has been visiting Poland, preparing for his new movie “An Officer and a Spy”.

A hefty contribution to the DNC will make that request go away.

Obama and Holder must be looking for a shakedown — because they have been consistent in supporting perverts up to this point.

Yeah, he missed a payment. Maybe he was a visitor at Epstein's Island too...

they want to connect Bill Clinton....who is of course inexorably connected to Hillary Clinton..to Polanski....and thereby make way for Candidate Di Blasio?

MUST note here that Jane Fonda was at one time married to Vadim. Never forget.

Poland, tell the US to go to hell. First time I ever felt that way, but this communists empire of King Obama leaves me no other thought. Most Americans don't realize it yet but America is damn near finished. This year some of the damage will be more evident.

It’s hard to comprehend, with all that’s going on in the world, that our administration is enabled enough to bring up yesterday’s news. How about Boca Haran and ISIS, who are slaughtering innocents and horribly abusing young girls now? Why pick a fight with an ally?

The regime is just anticipating a need to have another circus ring for news fodder in the next few months. Precisely, to drown out the deficit, ISIS, Islamonazis, crimigration, and so on...

I'm a tad bit confused about the let-bygones-be-bygones attitude of some folks regarding Polanski.

It's not like he forgot to pay $1000 in taxes, or anything like that. He is accused of horrific crimes against a child, and he fled the country rather than defend himself. I don't care who's pushing for Polanski's extradition. I applaud them for doing so, and I hope Polanski is brought back to this country in chains.

Breaking news when the leaders of the free world are marching in France... (Except for the Mombasan MF)

Please name something about this administration that doesn’t damage our reputation, embarrass us, undermine our strength, and make us seem hopelessly irrelevant, fat, immoral, stupid, and lost.

There’s a Freeper around here that sometimes says “spit.”

SPIT.

Just checked. In 1977 in LA Polanski was charged with rape of a minor, and he pled guilty to the lesser charge of unlawful sex with a minor. He went to Europe to avoid jail time. Hard to believe that was 38 years ago.

He's a real old guy now. It's not like he's denying anything or there are new charges. I can't imagine what the harm would be of letting the charge stand and arresting him if he ever attempts to enter the US. Save the cells for crazies tearing the US apart today.

No, I'm not approving of sexual predators. But considering the ethics of that time, a lifetime of acknowledged guilt seems appropriate.

JMHO

Why doesn’t the US ask Poland to force Polanski to make a movie anybody wants to watch? He’s been coasting for 40 years.

...horrific crimes against a child...

This is a case from the mid 70s about sex in a hot-tub involving drugs and booze. It is relevant because Obama's advisors are telling him to do something however lame to show a "strained relationship" with France. This is ALL about France, because no matter what is going on, just like the shallow, selfish cheater you remember from back in school... The one you vever thought could make it so far... Just like the subject of UNFIT FOR COMMAND and so many others who made it so far on empty promises, back-stabs and ballet maneuvers, Obama is ALL about... OBAMA.

Well, he a** raped someone’s 13 year old daughter with alcohol and actual force, so I think it is a mistake to let the passage of time cleanse this crime.

That may be the case. The charge was reduced to unlawful sex with a minor. Maybe that's a lousy decision, but it's the decision that was made.

I'm not defending Polanski. I'm saying the feds need to prioritize.

You’re right, Polanski isn’t being pursued at this particular point in time because the USA is suddenly interested in justice.

There are other motives at work here. But that’s secondary to me. Polanski belongs in a jail cell.

It’s too bad the family couldn’t pay someone to take care of Polanski some 35 years ago.
